The entire argument over who “wins” a trade is silly to begin with is my point. When you are in a situation where you have to trade a star, whatever happens to the other team is irrelevant to your team. You make sure you get the most assets possible out of your trade. That’s it. ...

No, that is judging how we used those assets. You judge the actual trade between us and another team by the situation we were in at that time. The Lakers gave us more than any other team was willing to give us. We had to trade AD and made the most of it.
