I personally don’t understand why anybody in the US or Europe would take a side in a Middle Eastern conflict halfway across the globe. Middle Easterners have been endlessly fighting since 8000 BC.

Yes palestinians are dumbasses… When given the same opportunity as Israel in 1947 they said no to becoming a nation to wage terrorism. For a people who had the numbers and supposedly the more recent history living on the land they quickly got their asses handed to them by a start up nation with much less people at the time. The surrounding Muslim countries had to jump in, and they got their asses handed to them. You can’t be the aggressor in a fight and then play victim when you get punched back.
Sadly if they had said yes in 47 it would still be a shithole because that is what they do. They did it starting in 1947, they did it when Jordan annexed the West Bank (which is who Israel took it from not Palestine as it never existed), they did it in Egypt, and they did it in Lebanon. They do it anywhere they have a mass migration. Anything good in Gaza or West Bank happened when Egypt, Jordan, or Israel controlled the areas.
As a group palestinians are the most vile and corrupt people you will find on this earth. They also are very sympathetic to hamas and any other existing local terrorist group even if not official card carrying members. The one causing the most death and mayhem in Israel gets the most support. Support them at your own peril.

If you fee so strongly about what’s happening to Palestinians why don’t you go do something about it? I’m sure they would welcome you with open arms there and not try to kill you within 10 minutes of showing up to Gaza.

I simply want people to acknowledge that the *current* situation is because of the actions of Hamas on October 7th. Now if you want to go down the rabbit hole of historical reasons for this conflict, I'm game. Just be prepared to start discussion with the 1948 Arab-Israeli War, and follow on conflicts.
Here's a pro-tip hint: There's a reason why Jordan no longer takes in Palestinian refugees. And neither does Egypt.

Heck what wanton genocide of Palestinians is happening now? Israel tried giving those that didn’t want to be there an out. If this was genocide they would’ve just carpet bombed them from the jump after 10/7 and not given a crap.

They hated them so much besides killing them, running them off, or enslaving them Romans were the first to officially use a form of palestine in official name - Syria Palaestina - to erase Judaea and ancient Israel.
