Another day, another racist black person. Being that I'm on page 4, I'm certain the "centrists" have already come around to justify it, even though they'll always hate the, "centrists" too.

The original comment was black people dont comment on raising kids in response to the racist woman saying white people shouldn't comment on a rap song. That is racist. There is no defense of it not being racist, and these weak attempts to defend it are sad

Sure there is.

It's arguably rude and prejudiced. Racism pertains to the belief in inherent superiority among/between races. You can make a rude comment on the tendency/frequency of absent black fathers, poor parenting, etc. without that constituting racism.

It is troubling that she was obviously so comfortable taking that position.

If a rapper was commenting on country music, I doubt that many posters here would respond with "this is a white thing."

Progressive blacks are clearly comfortable with being racist.

I'm honestly more annoyed by the constant attempts to make Kendrick Lamar into the literary and artistic genius of our time than this lady trying to take ownership of him.

DJ Vlad isn't just a twitter user, he has a podcast with a lot of hip hop artist. I saw the comments yesterday and black people were calling her racist saying that an artist makes music for everyone to listen to and another black dude pointed out the fact that x amount of hip hop sells come from white people. And who gives a frick about what she thinks?

Why is it always white and black women who do and say the stupidest shite and then when someone brings in logic its always a white or black man?

Yeah I don't really care for posters feeling justified with their own racist takes because a black person was being racist. Two wrongs don't make a right. Your daddy taught you that.

If it's a shitty relationship and the spouse finds a better partner it's absolutely a good thing for the kids. You'd argue wrong.

Your problem is that you’re getting more upset about an internet chat room joke than you are at a Harvard professor that teaches our future leaders making a blatantly racist statement and was completely serious while making it. Folks are getting fed up with these educated racists that are in these positions filling our youth with their bigotry and hatred. In other words, there’s a reason you’re getting downvoted into oblivion

I think the professor was definitely racist. It is fricked up. She shouldn't have her position at a school if she wants to shut a whole race out.

What I get sick of, and typically stay out of to avoid conversations with idiots, is the o.t. using every story about a black person doing something wrong to espouse their own racist vitrolic bullshite.

That's all. I don't give 3 fricks about downvotes. You guys can have your circle jerk back. I'm out.

FWIW I don't think the professor is necessarily racist.

This is, ironically, more the product of mostly-white fringe leftist academic thought than racism, IMO.

Probably true, but still racist.

Can you imagine someone saying that to Beyonce'? Much less telling a random black person that they can't comment on country music because it's a "white thing"? Oof.

I can't even imagine thinking about music in terms of skin color. Listen to and enjoy what you like. Anyone should be able to have a say in any of it.
