Counter point, all those guys were from Louisiana.

Hell, our great receivers going back decades are mostly Louisiana:

Wendell Davis, Shreveport
Josh Reed, Rayne
Todd Kinchen, BR
(Eric Martin, Van Vleck, TX)
Michael Clayton, BR
(Brandon Lafell, Houston, TX)
Justin Jefferson, St. Rose
(Dwayne Bowe, Miami, FL)
OBJ, BR
Tony Moss, Bossier
Andy Hamilton, Ruston
Craig Davis, New Orleans
Chase, Harvey
Nabers, Youngsville
Early Doucet, St. Martinville
(Jerel Myers, Houston, TX)
Clayton, BR
DJ Chark, Ellick
(Toliver, Hempstead, TX)
Landry, Metry
BTJ, Walker
Boutte, New Iberia
Terrace Marshall, Bossier

Now, to be fair, going out of state, Texas and, to a lesser degree, Florida seems to be the right call, but we have legends - All American, National Award winning receivers out of Louisiana all the time.

We have Taron out of N.O. from everything I've seen, he's going to be a Louisianimal... Camp is coming up and someone ALWAYS comes out of the blue. LSU will have great receivers.

Maybe get one of them hopefully we get Zay, Shepard, and Washington from In State.

I think that is reasonable WR group to expect add in ManChild.

Well, it’s not NC’s so what is it? It’s $$

But…but…but we have just as much money as Texas! We can’t keep up with the state of Texas if they want someone. Just the facts.

didn’t say he wasn’t a good coach, I just think his recruiting is overrated. Nabors and BT also were coached up by another coach as well, so aren’t exactly a great example. Justin Jefferson was only ranked low because of his grades. Most recruitniks said he should have been a 5 star. Chase and Marshall were I believe ranked 1,2 in rankings. Not exactly the same kind of recruits that you mentioned.

None of this is true.

I think our wide receiver recruiting under Hankton for the most part hasn’t been very good.

Only reason Kylan Billiot wasn’t a 5 star is because he started so low in the rankings

Dominated LSU camp

Dominated AA game practices

Has top end size, build, bounce, twitch and speed

Actually it all true it might not have been there final rankings but at one point on 247 it was.
Hankton didn’t coach the receivers there whole time at LSU so what are you talking about?

Yes I really like him as a prospect. We just aren’t catching the big names was more of my point. The sure fire receivers that make an immediate impact. Perhaps it is because Louisiana has been down the last two classes compared to what we’ve seen in recent recruiting history on wide receivers

Mickey Joseph and coached up in the same sentence

Nabors particularly credited hankton with pushing him to be the receiver he is today. Joseph was more or a buddy.

Lsu got a high ranked receiver in brown last yr and he is already gone.

Which sure fire receivers made a serious, first-year impact?

loved this kid when I first saw him. Built like a RB. Reminded me of Byron Marshall at Oregon about 10 years ago. Dude had over a thousand yards rushing his first year starting with 14 TDs, then he had over 1000 yards receiving the next year with 6 TDs. The funny thing is he went from a RB who had 15 catches, to a WR who had 50 carries.

Deebo Samuel also comes to mind.

He was highly ranked and buried on depth chart. Most receivers that come to LSU don't really touch the field alot until year 2 or 3.

They hardly do but you can’t compare some of the best lsu receivers to Aaron Anderson, Lacy..

Idk what all was going on behind the scenes with brown. Well many people believe Joseph was a horrible coach, but my main point was Hankton didn’t have Nabors or BTJ all to himself. Wide receiver coach is usually a truly dynamic coach that should be able to go out and get the best out there. Especially if you have had the success LSU has had in that area. It speaks for itself.

It's more of a bad look for him. Wtf are you talking about? He said I'm 100% committed to LSU then continued to take visits. Lots of people don't know what the word committed means, and it appears he's one 9f them. Don't worry LSU fans, we'll continue to get great receivers!
