This. I never try to tip the captain anymore. Just the deckhand. I assume the tip is built into the price for the captain/owner.
When we lived in Miami. We'd fish out of Islamorada quite often with Dirty Boat Charter (Captain Kit Carson... which is about as good a cowboy name as one can have).

I always thought about north GA or the western Carolinas or SW VA.
The serenity and solitude are a dream.
UNTIL, age sets in during retirement. If it's your forever spot, think about the future days when you are not as mobile and need ready access to Healthcare appointments and the occasional ...

Thought it was the OP and was thinking that is a lot of risk to assume... corn snake or not.
I was in ranger school last time I've seen one.
Beautiful snakes. The Ranger Instructor just snatched it up, played with it for a bit and dumped it in a bag to take back.

I called the wardens. They confirmed lake is open fishing, any bait.
Tributary to the creek flowing out of end of the lake, down stream to the bridge is artificial only (any rod type).

I always wanted to go to Alaska until I watched some of their game warden shows. I have no idea how anyone can keep all of the rules straight.
The stocked lake we are going to allows all bait. The tributary that runs out of it is artificial only. Already sounds like a setup:lol:...

I'm not a lippy person. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong. If I'm wrong due to ignorance, I'm wrong.
But, being in the Army and moving around every couple of years, it is crazy how different state regulations can be. And, some states, I'm convinced, make the damn regulations so complicated just to hem you...

It's a box turtle. Great pets if you have the right setup for them.
But, they can carry salmonella, so might want to be careful if you have young children. Or, just make sure everyone washes their hands well enough.

I genuinely hope that downvoters for a condolences to a Gold Star family member die a horrible and painful death after a lifetime of misery and personal tragedy. But, that may just be me.
