re: Houston Wins Dirtiest City in the Nation Award

If you live in East, SE, or South Houston, then yes. I'd be willing to bet a lot if you measured EPA levels of harmful chemicals in Baytown vs Memorial to Katy, they would be very different levels. That's why houses are dirt cheap there....

Can confirm cockroach problem. I moved into my place in Houston. After 1 week when I lifted up the couch there were 15 dead roaches. Lifted up rugs and everything else after, counted 30 there. Told landlord I'm not paying a dime of rent until it is terminated....

Didn't he only play 2 seasons without being injured and won NBA MVP both those seasons? I believe he is the only player in NBA history with an NBA MVP, Finals MVP, and 6th man of the year award....

100% agree with him. The reason health insurance is so high is because 90 year olds with cancer that can barely make coherrent sentences get a $700,000 operation to keep them alive for 2 more months. Who pays for that? Everyone else at BlueCross Blue Shield including 20 year olds in perfect shape. I...
Can we get a time and channel for the game tomorrow?
Posted by Saunson69 on 5/26/24 at 2:28 am
50+ threads and 0 mention of a time and channel for the championship (I assume its that). That should be #1 thing on the board....

Is it now single elimination? Seems unfair if SC beats us tomorrow that we'd be knocked out and they continue. Almost like 1/9/2012 all over again....

Why would you ever go from Shreveport through the Mississippi delta and rural Alabama. Take 49 down to 190, then 10 all the way across
I-49 might be the best interstate in the US in terms of you will never have traffic. I've never had the drive from Shreveport to Laffy take over 2 hr 40 min...

He reminds me of every single cool baseball coach I've ever had. Which is very few and far between. Most baseball coaches I had past 7th grade were complete tool bags that took it way too seriously with big egos....
re: TB12 went to playoffs 20 straight years. Odds are 0.00000003% that happens
Posted by Saunson69 on 5/24/24 at 12:42 am
Yeah give or take, I assumed 11 wins were enough to get in. Math becomes 1 in 123 million for 19 straight years if you say 08 didn't count bc wasn't the starter but for few quarters. That'd change it to for next 600,000 years we won't see 19 straight roughly playoff appearances.
The math can get ...
TB12 went to playoffs 20 straight years. Odds are 0.00000003% that happens
Posted by Saunson69 on 5/24/24 at 12:32 am
Tom Brady ended his career with 20 straight playoff appearances. Odds of doing that are (6/16)^20 = 3 x 10^-9, or 1 in 340 million. About the same odds as if someone randomly picked someone in entire US, it being you. There's been 2,500 players drafted last 10 years. Some get cut, but some UDFA make...

I just got back from the beach for an 8 day trip in a 3,000 sq ft house with 10 adults and 8 kids between ages 0 to 5. If that trip made a lasting memory, it's that having 8 toddlers for 8 days is hell. I did not enjoy a single bit of the trip. It was constant crying, yelling, fits, maniac type cryi...
