What's interesting is in all my travels before and after being a parent I can't remember one kid that bothered me enough that I remember it to this day, but I can remember a few adults that were complete douchebags....
My insurance went from around $4k to $12k in like two years ...
congress repeals glass steagall in the 90's. glass steagall was passed to separate investment banking and regular banking after great depressions.
I read a book once that argued the data show that banks that had both units in the Great Depression fared better than banks that didn't...
Taxi line is the pro move if uber/lyft have any surge or wait
Pretty much a pro move at all airports now that they got their shite somewhat together and universally take CCs. Everyone is herding into the apps so in many places a taxi stand is almost no wait at all. People so t...
Saw it the other night. I couldn't imagine someone who liked Fury Road not liking this one....
Of all the crappy places I have to go for work, I am tasked to go to Madrid, Seville, and Valencia in the coming months
 I stayed in Santa Cruz which I'm sure most people do. If you can swing it, try this place: Hotel Alfonso XIII, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Seville ...
I went from infant car seat that snapped into a frame stroller to the Cosco rear facing to WayB to booster. Currently my oldest is using the booster and younger one using the WayB. They probably weigh 15lbs total. I check them and install on other side. I see parents lugging the full car se...
They also joined the UT system of schools about a year ago so that could help as well ...
That was my theory too. Cracked screen mocked me the whole time. The dichotomy between my phone and the screens of Tokyo taunted me....
I didn't read anything () but why are they including 2020 at all? There was essentially no vaccine in 2020 so why would that be the starting year of this study? You could potentially use 2020 to set a base, but why that year and not 2015 for instance, where there's no COVID and no vaccine, e...
it’s more of a flex that I’m not a child and have never, not once, so much as cracked one of the screens
This hurts. I cracked my phone recently. Dropped the thing a 100 times and hadn't cracked yet. First leg on way to Japan, not 10 minutes into flight my phone slides off my...
The last word my son used to mispronounce was "yellow" as "lullow". I just noticed recently he says it correctly now. It is really bittersweet. My favorite was "dumfrick" for "dump truck"
You should have heard how my son said Percy (Thomas the Tank)....
This was in Japan so I could buy that stuff just like I would if I was in the US. I wasn't out hiking or anything. Same with shopping. Used the shopping bags they gave us. Dressed for the weather, etc. Only thing you can't bring is a big camera but I've stopped using mine anyway because the...
UPDATE: Mom runner wanted to greet kids before the finish to finish together. Husband was just following directions. She unexpectedly ended up being in first, which led to the issue. The other guy that everyone said she was hooking up with is her brother who was helping her run the race....
I'm trying to work my way down from a backpack. Last trip I didn't have one on the whole time. It was pretty great. I bought pretty small cell chargers I could carry and that was it. Liberating....

I was there last month and I was curious how I'd handle it. Probably be oblivious like you were....
