re: Favorite Blue Bell Ice Cream flavor

Re: gooey butter cake.
I don’t generally buy ice cream, but I saw this in small container and had to pick it up thinking it would be amazing.
Sadly, it was underwhelming. Lots and lots of vanilla ice cream with very limited gooey butter cake. I was dissapointed. Could have been result of sma...

Agreed. I work in secondary education and have a lot of coach friends. Sports culture has changed so much that many of them have gotten out. A dude this old is going to struggle to adapt to today’s athlete mindset. ...

That stupid YaYa Sisterhood tequila recipe seems to be popular. I've made it, and it's fine:
1 (12 ounce) can frozen limeade concentrate (semi-thawed)
12 fluid ounces tequila
6 fluid ounces 7-up
6 fluid ounces cold water (or use 12 fl.oz. Seven-Up or water)
12 fluid ounces beer
ice (lots of ic...

Simpler the better in my opinion. When I get something unique like that, I generally just serve it alone, whether grilled or pan fried. ...
Probably one of the best inshore fishing services in the South.
If that's the case, people won't blink an eye an additional $10 added into the booking fee to get rid of the appearance of having to rent tackle (the practice that most likely caused this issue with the clients bringin...

re: Coffee Thread

They have several coffee shops in the area as well. Since they’re based out of Bentonville, they also have a wal-mart contract, but I imagine it’s only carried in certain regions (every time I see it in Walmart, I wonder who is purchasing it there at that price) ...

For those of you interested in high-quality beans, I would be curious how you like Airship. Interestingly, from same area as Onyx and considered of similarly high quality.
Here’s their site for ordering:

re: Hot Springs restaurant recommendations

I will say that I had a pretty bad experience trying to get our group seated last time we were there. But it was a very busy weekend, and we had a very large group. We were just given pretty poor time estimates on how long it would take to seat us which led to pretty serious frustration.
But yeah...

Weird. You're like the only person I've ever heard say that... (other than a 15 year old girl who ate there with our mountain bike team and said it was too greasy).

re: Montego Bay - anything worth seeing off of the resort?

Everyone's mileage varies, but I found the prevailing wisdom in this thread to be untrue when I visiited Jamaica.
The big resort cities/towns (Mo Bay, Negril, Ocho and just don't go to Kingston period) do feel unsafe and have a lot of tourist hassling occurring, because the people there have a pa...

Hah. Don't expect it to be as good as you remember. It IS good, though. That was the first place I ever had honey served with pizza crust, and it's a staple in our family, now.. though we use hot honey a lot of times.

For those considering purchasing a mountain bike, I earlier recommended buying a hardtail from a local bike shop. That's good advice, but I will say that the used bike market is absolutely crazy cheap right now. A ton of people got into the sport during COVID and are now unloading their bikes. Suppl...

Much of the NWA "talent" are kids of privilege who have had tons of sports-specific training, travel ball, and coaching clinics for their entire lives. They're good because their parents have invested in them being good, whether they have a ton of natural athleticism or not.
Those same kids also...
