Makes perfect sense. Arizona has had enough of Lake's crap. They know her and they don't care for her. She will never be elected in a state-wide election in Arizona.
Trump does not have all of her baggage. He could win in Arizona. He didn't last time, but it was close and he certainly could carry the state.

The supposed leftward lurch of Arizona is way overplayed. Registered Dems make up less than 30% of the AZ electorate. The advantage in numbers for Republicans has nearly doubled since 2010.
It’s true that Kari Lake is a grifter and a suspiciously recent convert to conservatism, but her biggest problem is she's f'n retarded. She thinks, says and does stupid shite on the regular. The republican nominee for AZ governor in 2022 had a f'n layup and she figured out how to yip it.
