Good, hope it hurt like hell.

Note to self: Don’t go for a ride in a helicopter when it’s foggy outside.
First Kobe, now Raisi.
That's what did in SRV too.

that looks like a Bell 412, ExxonMobil had an old one in the GOM we used to fly in all the time. One of the bigger birds that did not have AC, we all would much prefer riding in the S76s
412s are workhorses, very dependable, can carry a lot of weight, huge rotor blades that are really loud. Even an executive build out luxury 412 is probably loud as shite.

I thought Reza Pahlavi was catchy enough.

Legends never die.
There have been some phenoms emerge since SRV's tragic and untimely departure.
Derek Trucks. Mato Nanji. Chris Stapleton. Kenny Wayne Shepherd.
But there will NEVER be another Stevie Ray Vaughan. Man was just overflowing with soul and talent in everything he did. One of my musical inspirations from the very beginning. RIP, SRV.

I didn’t go through all pages of this, so it may have been discussed. How does this impact everything and anything?
I’m very ignorant of Middle East doings, especially in leadership roles.
I thought Ali Khamenei ran the country. Is he just a jihad religious leader?
Could this be his plan to put a more radical guy into office?
Could Israel have done this? Is this a devil you know type situation.
Please forgive my ignorance and possibly dumb or repeated question.

I'm admittedly not the foremost authority of the inner workings of Iran, but that being said...
My understanding is that Ayatollah Ali Khamenei still being in his position means that basically Iran is still going to be Iran. Raisi was greatly responsible for Iran's more recent nuclear enrichment and development progress, so it remains to be seen how that path forward will play out- his connections and relationships with Russian nuclear officials and such- but I expect they will ultimately stay the course.

We are a despicable country right?
We are a nation teetering on the brink. We are currently both despicably warmongering and empathetically humanitarian. It's a strange and fascinating symbiosis that cannot continue on its current trajectory without tipping one way or the other.
The division and derision is counterproductive and palpable, and only getting worse.
The nation will endure, but to what end? Do we break towards separation and ideological regional division? Do we wholeheartedly embrace one ideology or the other and unify once more beneath a singular banner? These answers remain to be seen. I think we all have our suspicions of where we're headed... at least those of us with historical knowledge of extinct empires and how they came to be extinct.

Could be a simple message without immediately hitting the Ayatollah

You’re not wrong, our current leaders represent evil, but I believe there’s enough true believers in this country that He’s about to clean house and give this country another chance.
I pray to GOD that you're correct. I truly do pray this, every day. Only He can fix this.
My faith lies only in Him. Any and all faith that I ever had in mankind is dead. I've watched the results of man's rejection of the holy and his conviction to do things on his own without guidance, belief or reliance upon the Divine. The outcome has been utterly disastrous.
Realistically in retrospect, my "childhood" and formative years were not long ago in recent history. I was a child of the 80s and a teen of the mid 90s. I can clearly recall looking around back then and thinking of how messed up the world and society are. My memory is good. I remember my thought processes, my emotions, my logic. Yet I never once thought that we were close enough to see the end of days at any point during my natural life.
Today, I look around and realize that the end is staring us right in the face with big sharp teeth and a bold smile. And we're doing nothing, as a whole, to stop it. This world in which my kids are living, is so much different than the world that formed me. It is unrecognizable, save for some remnants of continuity that once gone will be forever forgotten.
I pray for revival and renewal.

I’m glad you posted your last post brother.
Makes sense he was the head at the table doing negotiations. Do you think most direction and responsibility is on the Muslim leadership.

I’m believing it’s going to happen. There’s more of us than you realize and God is raising up a group of young people that I believe are going to put this nation back on track.
