My group of guys has every 4-some playing something.

This isn’t the Masters, we are out there having fun, by drinking beer, playing golf and listening to music.

I'm gonna really blow your mind, some of the more expensive clubs have Bluetooth speakers in the carts. Hell, I was at a course in Arizona lately and they had TV and you could place bets all from your cart.

I'm guessing you are one of those guys that take 8 minutes on every shot, taking multiple practice strokes and has a super long routine. You are probably the group that's always in front of me and my friends and take 25 minutes on every green.

Wrong. Wrong. Wrong. Wrong.

Couldn’t have read that any more incorrectly. I never take practice swings except maybe one on the tee box you’re probably the guy ahead of me fricking around with his blue tooth speaker rather than playing golf.

I legit wish I was trolling but I am not. I can’t believe some people think this is the norm. I’ve really never had anyone ever suggest it or bring it up, let alone seen it in person.

But as one poster said, if people are playing it to where I can’t hear it, obviously I don’t care about that. But the first time I’m on the course and someone is playing music loud enough that I can actually hear it I am going to lose my shite.

I love the quiet and serenity of a beautiful golf course. Also Fingers crossed for my membership meeting with our local country club on Friday!

I think it’s very common for cart riders to have music.

I’d say more than 50% play music

Well this is a surprise to me too. Guess I’m old and out of it. The club where I most often play would shut that down with the quickness.

I often like to smoke a cigar while playing. If I'm paired up with a rando I'll ask if they mind and even offer them a cigar.

At least you ask. I hate the stench of cigars and cigarettes but as long as I’m not riding with you, go ahead. Now if you lay it on the green while putting it will probably get stepped on. LOL

It's not thinking it's the norm. It actually is. Go to pretty much any course on a Saturday and a majority of carts will be playing music.

Look at these trashy guys having fun. How can they even focus with that music blaring?!

I mean, the dude is barefoot. I've got no dog in this fight, but you might want to use another example when trying to make a point about trashy behavior.

I know this wasn't directed towards me and like I said before, I'm not against radios, but being a pro doesn't mean you can't be trashy. No shoes on a golf course is trashy, no matter who you are. They are just entitled to do whatever they want on a course because they are pros.

Trashy, maybe. But I think OP would care even less if he was playing with someone wearing no shoes as long as they weren’t playing music.

My whole stance is that if you’re not playing in competitive golf tournaments or playing at a golf course with strict rules, then the whole point of the weekend warrior playing out there is to have fun playing golf. It’s not that serious
