People being bought and relocated equates to human trafficking, does it not? He answered well.

Literally no.

You’re an idiot if you actually think recruiting is like human trafficking

He needs to deliver natty's, thats what he sold to the AD and the fan base. Right the ship. I like what he's trying to sell but, those days are over. We'll see how that works out.

Agreed. College football has become a game of mercenaries. If we don’t play that game, it will be tough to compete regularly. How do you think Ole Piss became relevant lately?

I like the sentiment Coach, it’s evident the ncaa has screwed up college sports to this point that the most successful teams will probably have the highest payroll. Hope you prove them wrong.

The most mediocre comment ever. Other teams will. That makes you a moron
user avatar

What would your comment have been? We ain’t got enough money to compete with juggernauts like Oklahoma and Miami? That’s why you’re making $50k a year and BK is a multi-millionaire.

So, you want to spend 7 figures for a a DL, who has never taken an SEC snap? Great investment.

I mean why not though? Don’t think buying one guy that we desperately need is going to ruin the locker room. Think about the money already invested into the program…

Miami has been buying players left and right for 3 years. And they have won???

Do you think Mario Cristobal is as good of a coach as Kelly? Then what’s your point?
user avatar
TigahJay25 days
Bama and Georgia have been buying them too…

Tx A & M bought a bunch of players. How did that work out for them?

I'm certain they're buying players, just want the other teams to think they're not.

That’s right , we are gonna buy players and their parents BK! Daddy needs new shoes

My thoughts from his comments are that he’s not looking for players who hit the market seeking the highest bidder. He wants players that will come here for development and get played for being a great player.

Well done, Coach Cajun Kelly. Any other team that watches this will assume they can buy any player we are interested in. Any player that we are interested in will assume we aren’t trying to buy him, his mama, his daddy, or his uncle. We are strictly interested in his development and Gordon is sending a few extra $$ to facilitate.

Coach Cajun Kelly is playing 4d chess right here. And yes, I am indeed wearing my “Burreaux” jersey right now.

Brian Kelly is a class act. No other coach in college football has it like BK.
BK= class
Mario Cristobal= no class
Brent Venables= no class
Lincoln Riley=no class
Lane Kiffin=no class
Deion Sanders=definitely no class

If the NCAA can’t stop or at least control this insanity
College Football as we know will no longer exist.

He just Jerry Maguire'd his program.
"Suddenly, it was all pretty clear. The answer was fewer clients. Less money. More attention. Caring for them, caring for ourselves and the games, too. Just starting our lives, really."

That's a bold move, Cotton. Let's see if it pays off for them.

Only baseball team buys players through NIL? Is that we he is saying?

He is out of touch or not that bright. Today’s mess called college football recruiting virtually requires it.
user avatar

Does it appear thar LSU is struggling recruiting? Have you seen the 2025 class? Or the last one?
user avatar
PureBlood25 days
This is the proper response. The Tards wont like it because they cant manage personal finances well, much less an entire roster of entitlements with regards to NIL. Dont sour the entire position group over a mediocre washout from another school.

cajunmud25 days
You're playing the long game BK (I'm a long game player myself). But I don't know if we have the time or patience for that, while we're waiting for this whole mess to be cleaned up.

We're in an arms race...just because you're level-headed and have principals doesn't mean you ain't gonna get nuked.

his message is pretty clear. you will get paid here, but not if you're #1 motive is getting paid. and most of that is regarding transfer guys. like many have said, most of these transfers guys are average at best, leaving simply to get paid. that's not a great formula for team chemistry. if you think he's saying LSU wont pay, take a look at the 2025 recruiting class, and even the end of last years class.

I think you will have to in some cases, if CBK likes it or not this is the new college football process. The last two DL signing elsewhere is a good example. When you have a MAJOR need at DL players you will have to buy them in this case CBK. This philosophy will come back to bite him in the arse. The NIL is here to stay and you either get on the train or get left in the dust. In the DL situation he still has some time but not really quality players to choose from. So in this case his philosophy did not work out and LSU cannot afford losing out on quality players just because he does not want to spend the money. Supply and demand simple economics.

Doubtful that NIL as we know it is here to stay. Stay tuned.

“Because LSU does the things that allows a team to compete for national titles, like Ohio State does, like Georgia does, like Alabama does. And, now you say you don’t want to do the things that people do to compete for national titles? You say you’re not into buying players. LSU is into buying coaches. They bought you for $10 million a year to win national championships. They didn’t buy you to say, ‘We’re not into buying players.'”
