Obviously everyone want to be playing for a Natty. But I think Jay in the portal is a prime example. We needed a few extra pieces or better pieces from the portal and maybe we would have gotten them with more time but we were playing for the natty. Pitch counts and throwing strike.
Bats will need to be hot but equally as important will be running up their pitch counts. Fouling off pitches and taking balls. Dont give them outs. Have to be the best we’ve been all year at the plate. Make them throw strikes. Good pitch selection.
