My dad died when he was 35 and I was just 8, and that was 63 years ago now. I would have loved to see what kind of man he would have aged into if he had a chance to see my age (71) and what course his life would have taken. And in that respect, how different my life may be today if he'd have l...

I recommended this fix the last time this problem came up in a thread. Go to Home Depot or Lowes and buy one of those fine mesh screens that go in the drain that catches fine food particles from going down the drain. The holes are small enough they should not allow fruit flies to enter or leave...
The rest is ancient history and I really don't give any sort of a shite anymore.
I feel the same. I stayed for Katrina at my house in Mid-City and got 4 1/2 ft of water in the ground floor. It wasn't until the following Friday when I finally made my way out of the city and ...
I think these things were half marijuana!
First time I ever smoke a Picayune I was a senior in high school and had been smoking for a while. That one cigarette had me dizzy as hell and almost ready to puke it was so strong. That was the first------and last Picayune I ever ...

I quit over 20 years ago. I mainly smoked Winston in the red pack or Marlboro in the red and white pack. For a while I did get pretty heavy into Kool Menthol cigarettes, but it only lasted about 4 months before I went back to Winstons. Went cold turkey and don't miss is a lick since I quit...

Buying cigarettes for my dad when I was under 10. Walked down to the Mom & Pop store on the corner and got either a pack of cigarettes or a pouch of loose tobacco with papers if cash was tight. Packs of cigarettes were $.35 and loose tobacco was $.20. He'd also send me to pick up cold beer...
Is it true that when you thaw them they come back to life, or is that an urban legend?
I'm going with urban legend since they are made up mostly of water when it all comes down to it. In the animal world, there are not too many things that can survive being frozen solid and co...
Back in those days men dropped from heart attacks all the time. Mine dropped in 1988.
My dad was one of 5 sons and he had 3 sisters. NONE of them made it to age 60. The closest was my Uncle Buster who died at age 57. One of my dad's brothers died even younger than my dad...
Well my dad is dead so....
Yeah, mine too. Been so since 61 when I was just 8 years old. He turned 35 on October 23, died on the 28th and that was just 5 days after his birthday and 5 days before my 9th. Wasn't a good birthday that year----------------for each of us....

The wife and her daughter were out of town for a week and got back home yesterday afternoon and I had fixed a large pan of lasagna with ground meat and my homemade Italian sausage in it. Also did some garlic/cheese bread to go with it. I just had a helping of that at 8:30 a.m. and that should...

I swear by my Craftsman 16 gallon wet/dry shop vac. Damn thing was bought in the early 80's and is still going strong------and I've used the hell out of it over the years. It's been on many job sites cleaning up the dirt and dust after plaster and lath removal, in my woodworking shop cleaning ...

I'm still using the Whirlpool I bought in 06 after Katrina hit and I had to replace many appliances. I've only had to change out the ice maker once and the lights inside the fridge and freezer have recently gone out and need replacing. They are small LED units that pop in and out and I just ha...
