I really like Stanfield. Auburn was so bad offensively with Irish out that he had to be their main guy which isn't fair to him. He's a perfect 7-8-9 bat with amazing athleticism and SEC experience....
I’m starting to wonder if Larson will have a spot in the lineup if Jones comes back. OF will probably be Pearson, Curiel, Brown.
You also have DH they can rotate around etc...
It’s hard to complain then if you are getting money AND an opportunity like they both did What’s the gripe? Coach is a meanie?
To be fair at least Guidry is man enough to earn his spot next year. Jay can't just sit around and hope Neal/Kling/Moffet/Johnson get it together n...
Will Curiel make an instant impact?
I think he can, he's older for his age and has played exceptional competition. This team needs to add more speed and lefty bats so he'll get a ton of chances early on....
As Project said...Neal is that one guy he gave way more opportunities that warranted by play, if Neal isn't confident he can start next year over Priester then good luck to him. It's also why Jay can't just sit back and pay Neal or Kling......
How would you rank Moore, Burke, and Amick?...
Is he going to pitch here or is that still TBD?
I think he's going to pitch...
Casan Evans is such an intriguing prospect in this class who gets overshadowed from his lack of true position from junior/senior year...I love how he hasn't been overused as a pitcher where he'll probably fit in at the collegiate level....
DVH is definitely not better than Mainieri
Mainieri made DVH his bitch...
Hadn't really thought about that, but IIRC Tutko's role expanded once Jay came to LSU. I don't know how well he was utilized under Mainieri.
Correct, Tutko was promoted once Jay came in and has more toys to play with here vs South Carolina. The only two reasons he would leave is hi...
I have been told 2 assistants that will be on staff. None that you mentioned.
Sean Ochinko it is...
He's got a pretty nice slider, very good run on his fastball. Would be a great bullpen piece ala Guidry....

re: Kade Anderson vs Cam Johnson
I’m not too familiar with baseball recruiting & how these guys are evaluated but did the scouts miss on cam ?
Baseball recruiting is based on potential. Cam is a 6'5 left handed pitcher with plus plus velocity, this is something that cannot be taught.
Why was Kade wayyy b...

Dallisgrass ...
He didn't throw many innings at IMG as a senior so yea the stamina thing was real and highlighted preseason. The whole velocity thing with high schoolers always gets over valued because many times the "99mph fastball headlines" more times than not it's these showcases with a ton of adrenaline and j...
Why would he be offended by that comment, Adam??
Hey I tried ...
No I’m not a moron. But I do tell the truth. It seems that most of the people on this board think “J” can do no wrong. He won a Natty primarily with another guys recruits. He was LUCKY to get into the tournament this year. He swept the worse team in the SEC (Ole Miss) and then beat teams (UGA...
Just another employee with LSU ties ruining things - Chavis, Woodward, Fisher, and now Cain.
Everyone tried to warn y'all. Cain would waive Mo Vaughn from second on an infield bunt...he's terrible....
