Have a Bergara barreled action in 280 Ackley headed my way from Brownells. What's everyone's rec's for a stock? Looking for lightweight, not into crazy camo patterns. Thanks

Not thinking about budget right now. Just want to hear everyone's opinions on quality, fit, feel , weight, etc.

since the Bergara is a Rem 700 clone, you have a plethora of options.
I've often bought & sold "used, like new" stocks off the inet. Here are some examples
used HS Precision stocks run around $225~275, new around $350
used McMillan and Manners stock cost $450+, new $650+
edit: I prefer a heavier stock (3 ~ 4 lbs) since I shoot off a rest at the bench 95% of the time.
I don't hunt sheep or goats in British Columbia. I prefer a scoped rifle that weighs 9.5 to 12 lbs. and doesn't move much on recoil.
The newest stock I bought is a Manners T4A carbon fiber with all the bells and whistles
Manners T5A
McMillan: Remington Hunter (top), HTG- M40 with adjustable cheekpiece (middle), Varmint (bottom)
McM: Hunters Edge Sporter in a McWoody pattern
McM Sporter

Check out Woox stocks. I have two and love them. Run about 800 to 1100 bucks. May have some in the 500 dollars range. Check them out.

looked at WOOX, they are sexy. They are proud of 'em too. This is gonna be a hunting rifle, cannot justify the money for a safe queen. got one of those already.

Check out stocky stocks they have several different styles at various prices. Couple buddies at work had them and loved them.
They also sell stocks from various manufacturers but their house brand is the ones I’m talking about .

I have a bell and Carlson on my rifle. Like it a whole lot. It's stiff and fits well and the rifle is extremely accurate.

I'm in the same boat but I just bought a Howa mini in 6.5 grendel. Looking at Boyd's and Bell and Carlson.

I second checking out Stocky’s Stocks. I bought house brand from them for around $225 as a make do stock until I decided what I wanted. It’s now been on the rifle for three years and I’m not changing it. Sanded the barrel channel and glass bedded it and it’s one of the best feeling stocks I’ve ever had.

I believe Bergara puts its Premier Mountain Rifle and new Premier Canyon in an AG Composites stock. You can get them in plain Jane colors.
