Justin will absolutely put you on the fish. As will any other guide out of that lodge, although I'm not fond of Tim Ortego.

if its is inshore fishing:
Tommy Pellegrin
Top Water Charters (Any of the Captains)
FishHeads

Keep in mind though I am not sure what is even open down there right now. Cocodrie took a serious beating from ZETA i was down there last weekend and it was still pretty bad.

My classmate Ross Eichorn is really good guy and has brand new 26' Blue Wave Hybrid. Hes been chartering sin the late 90S. His business name is Lil Ross Charters.

If not I'd try to go with Stu Scheer. 100% chance you'll be throwing tender rigged Cocoahoe minnows. Hes a great guy and has been chartering since the 70s.

I remember Bob Scearce (The Old Beachcomber) having him on his shows years ago. How old is he?

As a little kid, I loved watching and hearing his calm, yet exciting reports. Didn't really understand the significance of the weather and tides that he reported, but he sure seemed to know what was important, including just being out and doing stuff

I fished with Stu Scheer once, what seems like a thousand years ago, late 70’s or early 80’s. Hard to believe he is still guiding. His ex, Connie, makes the best softshell crab poboy I’ve ever had. One thing I remember vividly, he loved to surf fish Last Island, double rugged motor oil cocahoes with red flake. He’s a big dude, and if you started catching, next thing you know, he’d be elbowing you out of the way so he could cast there. Hopefully he’s mellowed by now.

Marty LaCoste is a good one for that area as well. (His place is in Dularge). My fishing buddy loves Bill Lake in that same area.
