Your post i responded to said ....

Updated 5/17 9:00

Added South Carolina / Tenn series since we could possibly end up 13-18 in SEC play like South Carolina which I did not expect. Also added Auburn and alabama (wtf is going on at Auburn) I will take it tho

31 SEC Games

Your welcome.

Thanks for your post; enjoyed reading your OP. I appreciate your hard work and enthusiasm . GO TIGERS!

After the 3 - 12 start ; it's good to see LSU 9 - 5 since then. But still could easily be better. That Game 1 Bama loss still irks me too.

Game 1 Alabama & game 2 Florida & game 2 Vanderbilt sicken me to this day. All of those games shoulda been won and if so we are probably looking at postseason at the box again.

I have maintained positivity through this whole thing for the most part. Would be excited for some post season baseball to bridge into football season.

D1 currently has 15 at-large teams in their projected field with an RPI worse than LSU’s, a number of those like Xavier likely due to bad weekends that will see them out of the field in the next projection. Florida and Ole Miss are the only 2 teams higher in the RPI not in their projected field due to their poor overall records.

5 of the teams behind LSU have strong conference records and are likely in ahead of LSU despite RPI (though LSU did beat 2 of them): Texas, ULL, WVU, Oregon, and Illinois.

Here are the other 10 behind LSU:

KSU: #34 RPI, 31-21, 15-14 in B12
Coastal Carolina: #35 RPI, 32-21, 15-14 in Sun Belt
TCU: #36 RPI, 31-18, 14-15 in B12
Xavier: #40 RPI, likely out of the field.
UCF: #43 RPI, 32-18, 13-15 in B12
UNCW: #48 RPI, 35-19, 19-7 in CAA
Ga Tech: #50 RPI, likely out of the field after getting swept by FSU and falling to 30-22 and 14-16 in ACC.
Troy: #53 RPI, 35–19, 17-11 in Sun Belt
Cincinnati: #57 RPI, 31-23, 17-13 in B12, lost 2 of 3 to OU
Utah: #76 RPI, likely out of the field with 2 losses to USC

That’s 3-4 spots that likely opened up and 4 other teams below or barely above .500 in conference (KSU, Coastal Carolina, TCU, and UCF) that I believe LSU can pass with a win tomorrow. There aren’t a lot of other strong contenders to take those spots.

Good work Mike, I believe UCF lost a game this weekend that was important. Also I am curious who won h2h in TCU vs KSU one of them may be in and the other not.

Yes, UCF has lost 1 of 2 so far this weekend to a bad Baylor team. TCU took 2 of 3 earlier this season against KSU. They have split so far this weekend with WVU.

I agree, win tomorrow and our RPI should land in the top 30 which would be way better than a lot of those teams they’re projecting in the field ahead of us. Not to mention we can jump a few SEC teams we came into the weekend trailing by a couple games.

For anyone interested in seeing how this weekend played out.

I really was hopeful we would jump Vanderbilt and Florida today but they both won so idk what to expect. I hope we win Tuesday while i'm at work

Glad we swept tho we are looking great!
