Hopefully the bullpen is up and ready. No more than once thru the lineup

Confidence level in winning this game just took a huge hit for me.

I’ll be honest that’s a head scratcher for me.

“Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results”

Maybe I'm the one who is insane, because I think it may work today.

It’s amazing we are at the end of the season and LSU doesn’t have a 3rd starter

He’d better face nine and that’s it. He’ll get shelled the second time through the lineup.

Every run Dutton gave up last week was because Pearson couldn’t catch a fly ball and Neal couldn’t catch a pitch at his shoulder. Y’all need to chill

He gave up hard contact to like 5 straight hitters.

I hope Jay’s plan is to have a guy ready in the 2nd inning just in case the bottom drops out.

The Reds beat the Dodgers a few days ago by trotting out a new reliever every inning.

1st guy went 3 batters (walked 1) and it was a 4.5 to 5.5 ERA carousel after that.

Reds won it 7-2 after using 7 pitchers.

And even more amazing that the one we are using is Dutton. Before the season I thought we would have had 5 absolutely legit starters that we could run out there. I'm never going to get my hopes up like that again.

I know Hurd has been bad but at some point he has to give you some innings.

Several pitchers have had several stellar outings recently. Perhaps there’s been some improvement amongst that group.

The offense needs 8-10 runs today. Doesn’t matter who steps on the mound. It’s all on the bats today and the defense behind the plate.

You might wanna go watch that 2nd inning again. A ground ball up the middle and then a walk that easily could’ve been a K and then a fisted bloop into shallow RF set it up. Thats not really hard contact

There is plenty of sample size to suggest it wasn't JUST that. I don't want to shite on the kid, but he's just flat out not that good. Neither is Hellmers before somebody else brings that name up.

Dutton will throw strikes, but his stuff is not SEC level. I'm sorry, it's just not. He's going to get hit, and hit hard. His good outings happens when those hit balls are right at people. I don't want to depend on that today.

If the plan is to go one time through the order, I can live with that I guess, because he would likely be needed to do that at some point today anyway.

Oh well. So much for finishing the regular season on a high. Considering we only have 2 quality SEC starters, I'm surprised that we won this many games.
