God this place went downhill fast.

Owner sold out to some absentee and the absentee reduced staff to a Friday night total of 6 employees. Used to be almost double that.

Sure they painted the place but that’s like putting lipstick on a pig if the service sucks.

You walk in and they don’t acknowledge your existence. Then you sit and it takes 10 minutes for someone to see you and ask for drinks.

Then it takes 40 minutes to get your food and it’s undercooked pizza.

Previous owner was kinda weird but at least he worked in the restaurant every night.

They lost a lot of their better employees. The restaurant was 1/3 full on a Friday. The prices are outrageous and it’s just not a good product anymore.

Moral of the story: buying a business doesn’t mean you get to come in for the checks and cash once a week. It takes work.

This place will be Theo’s before Christmas

We just left there and walked out after waiting 20 minutes and no one acknowledged us. I didn't know it was sold. The old owner seemed like a good guy.

What happened to Theo’s? It’s always dead even on the weekend. What about Tower? Haven’t been there in years.

Which Theo's? Elmwood is very busy on weekends

Oak Oven is the only pizza better than Domino's Pizza Hut in JP anymore. Theo's is fine but if I want that style pizza I'd rather drive to uptown and get Zee's

I disagree. Tower if Pizza is very good. It's not on the level of our favorite places in New orleans, but it's very good.

Hate to hear this. I drive by it daily and I noticed they were doing some renovations/clean up to the exterior. I was hoping they were cleaning up the inside as well to make it well….less disgusting. Sounds like the work they were doing was minimal and now the service sucks too. I guess I’ll stick to Tower.

It’s probably nostalgic to you, it’s not very good though

Wife came home with one of their large Supreme pizzas last night and it was pretty damn good. I ate 3 slices and it was all I could eat and chased with a cold beverage. I stayed feeling full for hours afterwards.
