re: 30A Beach Hate Trend...Is it just sour grapes?
Posted by MWP on 6/13/24 at 8:38 pm
So does 30A have more traffic than Destin? One of the main reasons I quit going to Destin in the Summer was the damn traffic. You are literally in a parking lot in the afternoons. Also kinda curious about Panama City? It seems people just stop at 30A now and go no further. I never hear an adult...
But why did it take 4 years for anyone to figure out that she was only 16 during Desert Storm?
Honestly, I have no ficking idea how anyone could not have done that math or just ask for her DD 214 for verification before she swears in. I don't get these stolen valor fricks that are...
Looks nice there but the sand and water are just as pretty in Destin.

My wife's family had a condo for years in Destin until they sold it last year. Upkeep and stroms made that decision easy. We used to go every Summer but damn that drive to/from H-town sucked the life out of y...

re: What era was Peak SEC?
Posted by MWP on 6/11/24 at 7:46 pm
Agree, the BCS era was peak SEC. Now we got a Saban-less watered down playoff transfer portal trainwreck with 2 more teams that literally don’t add shite to the conference and to top it off no more CBS intro music to get you ready for that 2:30 kickoff. ...
Caught two 4-6 ft. bull sharks in Pensacola 4 years ago using mullet
Right near the base of the Eastern jetties, there was a dude that kayaked out to the 2nd bar and dropped a bait and hooked into a massive Tiger shark. I mean it was a beast. Guessing about 800 pounds. I watched...

Isn't it owned by Troon Golf? I know a couple of members. I think it attracts the I like to golf but not love to golf crowd, which means they aren't the type joining BDCC or Squire....
I don't know why people would want to shore fish at a crowded beach
I used to fish the surf behind our condo in Destin. I would get up early before the crowd invasion and get some sand fleas and try to catch Pompano but honestly it became work and the last thing I want to do on a ...

re: I've been parked on I-10 west of Beaumont for 1.5 hours.

I usually just take 90 from H-town to Beaumont. Even though you go through such glorious towns like Dayton, Liberty, Nome, and China you miss most of the potential cluster frick on 10. Plus I live on the NE side so it’s kinda a no brainer even though the Grand Parkway out of Huffman on 1960 does c...

re: Gym Etiquette. Am I the a-hole?
Posted by MWP on 6/3/24 at 3:09 pm
I will jump into a squat rack to flat bar bench when I want to really work on my pause before I start going up. I usually set the catch bars to the point where the bar hits right at chest level. Plus it is by default a spotter since if you fail you can just drop it and you aren’t totally pinned ev...

My golfing buddy has one and it is like one of the upper echelons of golf carts. It is probably the nicest golf cart I have ever rode in. Super comfortable and super fast. I bet that thing goes 50. I don’t ask him how much his toys cost because he is OT Baller rich and purchases like this he pro...
