re: Trump Jr on with Tucker
Posted by SquatchDawg on 6/1/24 at 8:34 am
Tucker says it's an overt declaration to have Trump killed and also gave an analogy that when you get kidnapped and the kidnapper pulls the mask off, you know he now has to kill you - the Trump verdict was the Democrats taking the mask off and people must now assume there is no limit to what ...
re: A prosecution so crooked it would make Joseph Stalin blush: Alan Dershowitz op-ed
Posted by SquatchDawg on 5/31/24 at 6:01 pm
And let’s remember that Dershowitz is a traditional liberal…but also a true advocate for the law. It’s amazing to watch people like him come to Trumps defense.
Almost as amazing as the Bill Kristal crowd showing their true colors over the last 8 years after building careers by being noted Republ...

DC Republicans are a waste of space and hot air. Plus they have no prosecutorial authority. It will have to come from red state AGs. ...

I’d like to see what happens to the driver of that vehicle if he cruised around Fayetteville NC for a month or so.
A lot of young dudes with bad haircuts driving Chargers and Mustangs would want a word with him. ...
re: Anyone actively trying to lose weight?
Posted by SquatchDawg on 5/29/24 at 8:29 am
I’ve been consistently losing weight since the beginning of the year. Started at 236 and before leaving for vacation hit 226…according to Inbody I’ve lost 14 lbs of fat and gained about 4 lbs of muscle. Last scan before beach I lost about 1.5 lbs of lean mass though…so I was cutting too deep. I coul...

You should never be naked in a room with another man unless a) you just finished an organized sporting event and are taking a shower or b) you’re at the doctor. No exceptions. ...
re: Who is hosting the 2024 GSB Riboff this year?
Posted by SquatchDawg on 5/27/24 at 8:10 am
The franchise has been broken. Too few participants, judges easily swayed and compromised and of course the ballot stuffing that occurred last year.
There needs to be more cooks and fewer critics. ...
I'm not sure the rationale behind not doing Botox, but I'd think of it like this
I think it boils down to not being able to perceive how you actually look to other people vs what you see in the mirror….and people go too far over time.
How many celebrities have you seen and think...

Yeah…that made me smile.
It looks like they’re really sticking to the old movies in theme and if that’s true it’ll be pretty damn good. ...
re: Running shoes worth it??
Posted by SquatchDawg on 5/23/24 at 9:16 am
If you’re getting any pain in your shins or calves then absolutely. Go to a real running store too…like Fleet Feet….so they can look at your gait. I had a pronation and they hooked me up with a shoe. Pain went away immediately. ...
re: What’s the wildest thing you’ve even seen in person
Posted by SquatchDawg on 5/22/24 at 7:56 am
My takeaway from this thread is that if you live in LA you have a high probability of seeing somebody get killed, being in or around a gun fight and/or watching homeless people doing all sorts of nasty shite.
My life has been boring. ...
re: Anyone retire early early?
Posted by SquatchDawg on 5/22/24 at 7:42 am
I would argue the opposite. Wife and I married a little later than normal and delayed having kids. I’m 52 with one kid getting ready to leave HS and one starting. Most of my friends have kids out on their own and are focusing on setting themselves up. We had a great time in our twenties and were ab...

I’m no expert but a sudden 2,000 foot increase in elevation looks like they got caught in an updraft and then lost control trying to recover or there was a malfunction with the auto pilot in that situation.
Even when flying under regular cumulus clou...
So a lot of professionals (like doctors) bought it with it's 285-300 HP engine right after getting their pilot's license. So it was like getting your 16 year old a ferrari
My FIL bought one but only after being able to work into it after 1,000+ of hours flying a complex airplane. ...
re: BMI
Posted by SquatchDawg on 5/21/24 at 5:23 am
Good grief man…I hope you were on an OL somewhere.
When you get out on the edges of the bell curve with height or lean mass the calculation starts to break down. For me to crack the “healthy” 25 BMI I’d have to get to 210 lbs which would be 5%-8% body fat. That seems extreme just to be considere...

My wife and I used to go down every year for the weekend. Depending on their calendar and your dinner res check these guys out if you’re into this type of thing.
Also a good break from the walking and right near market.

A lot have posted but I will add to make SURE you make dinner reservations far enough out. The nice restaurants book up early and quickly for the weekend.
King street for shopping and roaming around the lower peninsula for the history and houses is fun. Also, a few rooftop bars near market. ...
