re: US pier off of Gaza sinking
Posted by eitek1 on 5/28/24 at 7:51 am
No kidding the US successfully did this 80 years ago WHILE BEING SHOT AT. These asshats can't do anything right.
What an absolute statement about the capabilities of everything this administration touches....
re: When did "no passing Harley riders wearing colors" become a thing?
Posted by eitek1 on 5/27/24 at 7:12 am
I drove from Mandeville to Katy, Texas yesterday. I bet I saw 40 or so Bandido's. Most all were from Texas according to their vests.
I wasn't passing anyone. I'm driving an old bus....
re: Who here has seen a comedy hypnotist show?
Posted by eitek1 on 5/26/24 at 8:58 pm
I volunteered to be hypnotized at a show. After just a little bit he came over and said "you can go sit down".
Apparently hypnosis doesn't really work on me....
re: Woman says casino is refusing to pay $1.2 million jackpot she won playing slots
Posted by eitek1 on 5/25/24 at 8:12 am
There's no conspiracy. The slot machine in question is a WAP (Wide Area Progressive) machine. That same machine and progressive amount are connected with the other Wheel of Fortune games throughout the country at other casinos. If that particular machine had it hit, it would have locked up an...
re: Old Video but constant argument: are paying taxes voluntary?
Posted by eitek1 on 5/24/24 at 10:40 pm
I’m in the middle of what’s going to be a pretty epic disagreement with the DMV because my son wants a license but doesn’t have a social security number.
I’m not a “sovereign citizen”. I didn’t get my son a SS number in the hospital and now it’s my goal in life to educate absolutely ever single p...

Just East of Sherwood forest in Baton Rouge.
We've been parked for 20 minutes. Use some other road if you plan on making it home......

Where is the evidence to validate that statement?

re: Need advice on which 3rd row SUV to get
Posted by eitek1 on 5/20/24 at 2:52 pm
Remember, you can get a 4Runner with 3rd row seating. It’s not a really common option but it’s a useful one. Mine has 3rd row seating and with them folded down, it’s like a regular 4Runner, as far as hauling stuff goes....
re: The Hayride’s Jeff Sadow: Landry Must Stop Harmful Ganja Legislation
Posted by eitek1 on 5/16/24 at 11:34 am
If they are truly that worried about tge health effects on the average Louisiana citizen, where do they stand on alcohol? Alcohol is remarkably harmful but they likely enjoy it, so it gets a pass.
I don't drink, smoke or do drugs and I think it should be legalized. After a war on drugs that has g...

re: What are your hobbies
Posted by eitek1 on 5/13/24 at 9:17 am
I build things. In the past 3-4 years I've built a small sail boad completely from scratch, turned a school bus into a RV, 90% of the way through remodeling a house, starting software business and I'm rebuilding the engine on a mini cooper with my son. He wanted that as his first car.
I work a fu...
re: How do y'all marry people and hate their parents?
Posted by eitek1 on 5/12/24 at 7:57 pm
My MIL wasn't a very nice person. She wasn't nice to her daughter (My wife) when she was growing up. I married her when I was 21 and she was 23. I took my wife home to visit her family (out of state). After a day or so, her mother's true colors came out and she said something a bit hurtful to her da...

re: GSEB is considering evidence that Fulton County double counted ballots in 2020 election
I agree it needs to be looked into. But why 4 years too late now? People that broke the law involved in this, need to go to prison.
So they can claim at the last minute that Trump actually won in 2020 and because he won back to back presidential elections, he's precluded from runn...
re: Normandy vet sings "Blood on the Risers/Paratrooper thread. Any jumpers?
AFAIK the there have only been two static line mass combat jumps since the end of WWII. Operation Just Cause in '89 into Panama and Operation Northern Delay in '03 into Northern Iraq.
I'm pretty sure there was a jump into Korea. It went poorly.
I was in Desert Storm with an Indi...
re: Random hot blonde chick gives her opinion on St George

Can the folks from St. George even vote for who becomes mayor of the city that previously controlled their future.
I've not heard the argument before but it seems like the desire for representation via voting would be sufficient to drive the incorporation....

It was a name given to UFO type glowing spheres that WW2 pilots saw with some regularity.
Not sure if they saw them engage in "combat" but the stories are interesting....
