Insulated concrete forms should be something homeowners look into, but not a lot of contractors know how to do it....

Security at least at Penn Station in NYC does not involve TSA. You line up 20 minutes before the train leaves and you're on your way. That instantly saves you at least an hour plus, not including taxi time a nor...

For flights, considering the 1.5 hour plus getting through security/parking, plus taxiing, plus actual flight time, plus getting bags, etc ... I would be curious to see how times compare to 300+ mph travel times via rail....

High speed trains will never work here for a variety of reasons, mostly because the folks who don't take mass transportation now can't envision themselves ever using it after it gets built. Tack on some NIMBY and bumping shoulders with perceived poors and it will never work.
