Blossom End Rot
Overwatering, or big fluctuations in watering, is almost always the culprit. While technically a calcium deficiency, most of the time it’s not due to lack of calcium in the soil. It’s an uptake issue....
Am I in danger of promoting some type of fungal disease or root rot?
Possibly. Could also cause BER problems. I’m still watering every three days and I haven’t had any trouble yet....

Organic methods, even pyrethrin and spinosad, are really only effective against the young nymphs. Once they reach adulthood you’re going to have to use something stronger like permethrin or zeta-cypermethrin....

For the most part, this. I’d rather not use insecticides if I don’t have to. I’ve been seeing some cucumber beetles here and there. But they don't usually cause enough damage that my plants can’t handle them. My main concern is stink...

re: Food supply. New Zealand burning bee farms?
