BI would be an absolutely elite running mate if your star player is a guard who can create their own shot. If you pair him with someone like Mitchell or Tae, they wouldn't operate in the same space like BI and Zion do. He had a terrible playoffs, coming back from an injury, against a defensive tea...

Which wouldn't be the worst thing. Trading BI, IMO, is about balancing the roster around Zion and getting Trey on the court. If you trade him for an upgrade at PG, you almost have to trade CJ for a center, which won't net you much. I think it would be easier to package CJ/Nance for a good but not...

CJ, Herb, Trey, Zion, Ayton is a good, balanced lineup. CJ as a 6th man, which he would be in any Mitchel, Garland, Tae, or Murray trade, is not going to happen at his salary. ...

What about a trade of Branding Ingram for DeAndre Ayton? We have a giant hole at Center, he has been durable, is an athletic center that is switchable, is young, and has shown to work well as a 2nd or 3rd option. Ingram for Ayton works straight up....
