Yeah, but now LSU doesn't have Holman/Jump available for a potential game 3 vs. UNC!!! That means they have no chance to win!!!
The "start the bullpen advocates" just (wrongly) assumed LSU was going to score at will even if Mike the Tiger was pitching. I don't care what is the front of the jerse...

He and Jones were the only guys all game with consistently good ABs. No wonder it's those two that (essentially) won the game. The top of the order (except for one AB by Braswell) was swinging like they had dinner reservations to get to.
The bottom of the order is just hoping someone hits them....

That LSU team that Stony Brook beat was really good. SEC Champs.

That LSU team was MUCH better than this LSU team.
The performance in Hoover made everyone think/hope this was the top 5 team finally coming around. The reality seems to be it was just a slightly above average team playing over their heads....

It doesn't help when the same pitch in the same location switches from a ball to a strike seemingly a random. The strike zone has the LSU hitters completely twisted. Credit Wofford though. They are taking advantage by hitting the same spot over and over again....

The defense is giving you a massive open space to hit the ball through. It's not their problem if you, the hitter, can't take advantage of it....

Maybe LSU is just regressing back to the mean and they really aren't that great of a team. Just a slightly above average team. The 5 games they played in Hoover were outliers compared to the 56 games played before....

It's the 4th inning. So plenty of time. But LSU is not seeing the pitches well and hasn't seem to adjusted yet.
They look either unprepared or started with an overconfidence that has been shoved up their arse for the moment...
