re: WSJ: Wall Street Has Spent Billions Buying Homes. A Crackdown Is Looming.

I agree with most of what you are saying, but the boom in construction is also being suppressed by NIMBYism.
I get it, I don't want a new subdivision going to around me either, but it's absolutely slowing construction. The US needs more homes badly, but it's allowing NIMBYism to slow down growth...

They still represent less than 3% of all SFR rental investors.
SFR investors have also sold more homes than they purchased over the last 7 years, representing a net negative in ownership.
US homeownership rate is near all-time highs. Reality is that individuals have outmuscled wall street for...

Golf has exploded the last 10 years. Also St. Francisville has seen a ton of nice redevelopment turning it into an attractive day visit... If done properly, it could absolutely be a destination course that draws people from a fe...
re: Weeds in St. Aug Question

Is it okay to apply MSM to a lawn that has some damage from the drought last year? It's coming back well, but I don't want to slow its growth. However I do want to kill the weeds that are growing back....

I appreciate you keeping this thread alive. I've been slacking posting lately but I have been brewing.

Jim Knowles is undoubtedly more proven than Baker. He's had 2 consecutive power 5 stops now where he brought drastic improvement on defense....
re: Hot take Sage Ryan impressed me

I really hope we move him to be a true safety... Not that our corners are studs, but I don't think there is much of a drop off at all at corner from Sage to Toviano, Alexander, and presumably JK Johnson. Meanwhile Major Burns needs to get off the field. Would love to see Yaites and Sage as the start...

This. I feel like that play got lost in the shuffle of the game. It was one of the worst run fits I've ever seen in my life. He never got within 5 yards of the RB. It makes me wonder how many of those h...

He'll be more than serviceable at QB. Even has the ability to be great. However the team will need more than him. We just had a Heisman trophy winner at QB and lost 3 games.
1) Defense has to improve
2) New WRs need to step up
3) New OC has to be more creative in the run game. Nuss will need o...

re: What percentage of SEC fans live in your metro area?
Posted by GeauxPack81 on 12/25/23 at 10:22 pm
Feels like there are a shite ton of Bama and Ole Miss fans in New Orleans. But I agree that's more in the city than the metro area. Jefferson Parish is definitely more LSU.
South Baton Rouge, West Baton Rouge, Ascension Parish is like 95% LSU, 1% Auburn, 1% Ole Miss, 1% State, 1% Bama, 1% other......
