Is $100,000 (one time payment) life changing money?
it would be for me.
it would pay off literally everything I have financed (house & vehicles) with some left over to stash.
meaning all of my checks from here on out would be all mine (ok, still have to pay utilities, insur...

sure he was, but it's not uncommon for someone that stays at a place as long as he did to still support and love the area and the program even if not getting paid....
wonder if there’s something about Cliff Godwin that turns ADs off
Cliff is a good coach, but nothing special.
he has ECU pretty much exactly where the previous 3 coaches had them.
in regionals every year, a few Supers, never Omaha.
It’s a strange hire. Plus Tanner and Manure are near the same age
makes me wonder if Paul and Tanner are close friends and he's doing this as a favor to Tanner.
Sorta just filling in for a year or two until Tanner gets the right guy....
Was this the game Rohan mustered up a comeback, and LSU hit a fg that barely crossed for the win?
nah, we played Tennis 3 times while Ro was here.
Overtime game in 2000 (Robert Royal TD, Damian James bat down on 4th down for the win)
Loss in Knoxville in '01.

he started the turnaround. ...
re: SC hiring Paul is equivalent to the Les Miles hire by Kansas.
Even more similar to their hire of Lou Holtz. That didn’t work out too well.
Lou Holtz was winning more games per year there than anyone in the previous 20 years did.
not anything amazing, but pretty good by their standards. ...
More like Lou Holtz being hired by South Carolina
not sure that’s a good comp either.
Carolina had one 9 win season in their entire history pre-Lou Holtz.
not sure there is a really good comp to this hire.
He’s only 66. Tony Larussa got an MLB manager job at 77 years old.
serious question because i don’t follow MLB very closely:
Did Larussa retire because of chronic neck pain and overall burnout?
down the stretch, Mainieri looked like a guy that was constantly hurting and just ...

it's easier to develop a decent slider/curve than it is a good changeup.
and a bad changeup travels a very long way in the opposite direction.
