Posted by Stadium Rat on 5/14/24 at 11:10 pm
Just reported by WVUE in N.O.
Huval said porch roof came off and damaged the dance hall. Hopefully the restaurant won't be affected too much.
I love their Crawfish Bisque (although I haven't had it in a while)....

re: How do you season your scrambled eggs?
Posted by Stadium Rat on 5/13/24 at 8:19 pm
I cook the eggs a little first, then add the S&P before they are finished. I think it is an Alton Brown thing with the timing and how salt can change how the eggs cook or something.
One of us is remembering the Alton Brown comment wrong. On the show about omelets, he added salt before ...
Blue runner + trinity + good smoked sausage is very hard to beat. Not sure why anyone would make em from scratch with that option.
You have to be joking. BR is so bland, the only thing I would use that for is it I made red beans and they were too salty or I needed to stretch a batch....

I've had trouble finding our games a couple of times on my Roku TV. Today is one of those times.
Easy to find on my computer, though....
She informed me that the original recipe does not contain all of the spices that KFC claims it has. I saw a segment they did on the old show "Unwrapped" about Popeyes. I haven't been able to find the clip anywhere, though.
I can't tell you much about the spice blend, but they tumbled the chicken with the rub for 5 minutes in an industrial tumbler drum. They did about 25 lbs at a time from my es...
