Hal Sutton at the 2000 Players Championship. Beating Tiger the year Tiger was at his best. "Be the right club today!"...
After watching Valhalla last week, the Colonial looked like a muni on TV.
I would have preferred an uglier course with single digits under par to win for a major over a beautiful course that coughed up 21 under to win....

Thoughts on the rebuilt Colonial?

It seemed on TV that portions of the course were still in a slight state of disrepair. My only big complaint was how they removed the stone front of the 9th green. I'm curious as to why they did that....
Some of you people are either incredible liars or extremely troubled. (referring to the "I don't listen to Chris Blair at all" people) You mean to tell me that you are a die-hard LSU fan. You are a big enough fan to post on a message board. You may even have season tickets. You may even donate...
Is there any such thing as SEC umpires? I thought college baseball pulled umpires from the same pool that works minor league professional baseball....
Why not just say, "We thought we called it right at the time. We looked at the replay in the locker room afterwards and realized we messed up. That's on us." That little statement is beyond blue here. Disgraceful....
Saints caved and payed quickly, tells you all you need to know about who was in the wrong here.
No, it doesn't suggest anything of the sort. The principals actually spoke and this got resolved, which is what should have happened in the first place. If you're placing your faith in...
How will this balance out with Title IX requirements? if a school gives millions of dollars in salary to football players, do they not then have to do the same with women athletes?...
The state said they have provided documentation; the Saints say they haven't. Knowing these kinds of disputes, I would guess that the Saints are requiring invoices and the state has provided something other than invoices, such as statements. Happens all the time in this kind of thing....
But everyone has always loved Phil
Why do people like Phil? Because his is a total buffoon. Because he plays stupid shots and recovers spectacularly some of the time. Because he runs his mouth on occasion. Because he hits into the same hospitality tent 2 days in a row and hits ...
I mean he was hit by Scottie’s vehicle. Not really sure what you wanted to cop to do
No, the cop apparently went out of his way to jump on to the car. And he turned his body camera off before he did it. There is no evidence supporting the police report. Jeff Darlington at ESPN...

[link=(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WJ8nf1-4oNg)]LINK[/link] Here is the hearing from this morning. The prosecutor is a disgrace. He actually claimed that Scottie Scheffler is not a name that is widely known. ...
Koepka has no effect because he was always hyper focused on majors. Interesting how much easier he seems to win the normal liv tournaments vs PGA tour events. He had 4 total non major wins in all his years on tour. He already has 4 liv wins
Koepka has always been a different breed ...
All you need to know about Bryson's development as a golfer is this: on none of the 4 days did he go for the green on 13. Bryson from 3 years ago would never have passed up that shot....
I still feel like the traditional US Open courses—Winged Foot, Oakmont, Shinnecock, The Country Club—have held up well and been great tests recently.
The Country Club actually coughed up some low scores in 1988, but it's come back to Earth recently. I agree with you, the tradi...
At least they do side-by-side for most of them. It's more manageable if I can se what's going on....
I don't think it's LIV; I think he's just taking his golf more seriously now, trying to be a championship player and not a long drive guy playing on tour. If he had had his irons working today, he would have won....

It's all in the pin placements at Pinehurst. there is no rough in a real sense there, and even when there was before the restoration, the USGA didn't grow it to US Open norms. On most of the greens there, the pins are either rather easy or brutal....
I'd like to see how you'd play on an ankle held together by spit and bailing wire. Dude has won 15 majors, 82 tournaments, and 3 US Ams. if anyone has earned a lifetime exemption, its him. Honestly, the best thing he could do next year is get a cart and play the Champions Tour. He could do...
It has already hosted a Ryder Cup. USA won that one.
Ok, time for me to hit the coffee. My bad. :) i cannot believe I forgot that....
