And there are plenty of semi-autos that are blowback and recoil-operated, including the CETME, G3, and their variants.
The Ma Deuce is recoil operated too. I would be happy to have one of those if they take away the AR-15 (although the cost of ammo would be a bitch)....

Beeville was pretty grim, you dodged a bullet. We made up a song about it: "Goin' out the gate, sayin' bye to those you hate. With Beeville in your rear view mirror."...

In my experience the bases with the worst locations are where you get to do the coolest stuff. I am thinking Beeville Tx. and 29 Palms California. But the best, hands down, was Cubi Point. On a side note, when the base shut down they moved the entire O Club bar to the Naval Aviation Museum wher...

First, you really need to get one. It really opens up a lot of cooking possibilities. Like a number of folks here I have the Anova and recommend it. I can't think of a reason in the world why you would need an app when cooking sous vide....

re: Candidate For Worst Movie Ever

I haven't seen the movie in a few decades, but I remember liking it (and her part in it) pretty well. And while "appeal to authority" is usually a bs move, a few academy awards voters seemed to agree....

re: Inefficient Company Meetings Rant

Back when I was a prosecutor my boss had to attend these meetings with various law enforcement agencies. She was unavailable one day so I had to go in her place. After about an hour or so it seemed that everything that needed to be said had already been said. But the meeting went on and on. I ha...

Do not use advertising to find a lawyer. Use word of mouth. If you know a member of the local bar ask him (or her) for a recommendation....

My post was probably unclear, but I knew that. The question is, do you need to release the bolt to remove the magazine and, if you do, what is the point to it locking back on the last round?...
I recently acquired this rifle and am trying to figure out how it works. I have a question about its functioning (even after downloading the manual) and hope someone knowledgeable can help me out. After the last round the bolt is locked back by the magazine follower. But the pressure of the bolt ...

All the way to page three and still no love for William Powell and Myrna Loy in the Thin Man movies....
I had a ThermoPro and didn't like it. Would constantly lose connection and the battery life was not good. I junked it and got a Meater Plus, which works fine. Leave the base unit near the grill and no problem getting a read from inside the house. Battery life and connectivity are no problem. On...
No will and no beneficiary on his life insurance.
This is the problem here. While I am not familiar with Louisiana law, this typically means you need to go through probate which is definitely not a do-it-yourself process. You will need to hire a lawyer experienced in this area. ...
