My story exactly.
About 2 years ago, I dumped a really expensive top of the line 3yo Samsung set (aka a POS) because I was fed up with it's "smartness"
Bought a speedqueen and never looked back.
BEST DECISION EVER!

The sheer number of tires they go through alone negates any positive environmental benefit (putting aside the lithium, cobalt & other mining necessary)...
