I’m not saying that it’s a snake seeding. My point was that we should be a higher 3 seed or at best a mid-low 2 seed once the weekend wraps. I don’t believe that seed groups are all equal.

I agree on the walks but I worry more about him getting too much plate once he gets ahead. Granted most of his hits were in the 1st half Not many appearances (6) or innings (6) in the 2nd half but hits are down (4) and BB:K (7:8) is alarming.

Mingione went for today. He started a midweek guy (Smith) and went to two of his best relievers (Hogan and Hummel) after that and got 5 good innings. He then brought in his #2 (Niman) to start the 7th down 2-0 and then went to reliever (O’Brien) that he has used the most before the fellas busted it ...
