The weird part is that the recall is for the Lexus LX and Tundra pickup. The engines are the same configuration but the LX engine is made in Japan. The Tundra engine is made in the US. How is it a manufacturing defect involving debris if it impacts engines from multiple plants? It’s possibl...
The middle class is shrinking. It's no secret. The majority of middle class survives on credit.
It’s true. And this is a very risky trend. On the bright side…it’s a great time to be in automotive repair (average auto age is nearly 13 years), small engine repair, HVAC repair, ...
Get a Silverado with the straight 6 diesel then.
These are turning out to be awesome motors. Diesels require more maintenance and higher upfront costs, but the fuel economy and power output benefits are incredible. But you know they will be outlawed or regulated out of produ...
shite, you think it's bad now? Just one example: I read an article recently about how the fast food industry is about to epically bottom out. Former well producing locations are down to the production of medium producing locations, and former medium producing locations are on the brink of bein...
Exactly. Yes groceries are expensive and many other things are expensive, but we also spend insanely more on stupid crap. Rice, beans, basic vegetables, and low quality meat cuts used to be normal. I ordered A5 Wagyu for my bday, you think my dad or grandparents ever went that crazy on a stea...
Wages have not kept up with inflation. And if you are in a blue collar area, globalization has most likely severely impacted the amount and quality of jobs available to the typical working age person. "Globalization" is most likely not your friend if you are an American that isn't in the speci...
Meh Tundra owners hate the new tundra
I figured a lot of them were waiting for the next gen model only to be disappointed. I’ve seen a lot of them piling up at dealerships. Judging from the sales numbers, I think Toyota loyalists are the only ones buying the new Sequoia. ...
Hideous front end with a flawed engine.
Yeah they have a new main bearing cap design for the turbo motors. It’s likely the cause of these failures. There is more strain on the bottom end with turbo motors. They have to design for that. Not sure what is going wrong with tu...
Damn. I thought the engines been used overseas for years? What a travesty. Ford advertised similar fuel mileage in the early 1980’s as all this turbo shite today with their 300 straight 6. Of course the turbos do a lot more hp/speed-wise with the mileage though
Yep. Those old For...
That's not going to happen. It will cause gen 5 4Runners to increase in value. 2025 are going to price out $8-10K more, plus the reliability of the previous generation is what everyone wants.
There are actually discounts on the 4Runner (other than the TRD/TRD-Pro models) in some ...
I like the Celestiq but they are hand building those and charging $300k for them.
Yeah those things look incredible. But that is beyond even OT money. ...

Best robotic pool cleaner?

Posted by dewster on 5/29/24 at 9:56 am
We currently have a Polaris P825 that's awaiting replacement parts that never seem to be available. We also have had some ducks find their way into our pool and they leave quite a mess on top of the light debris that is generally common on the windy/rainy gulf coast. Needless to say I'm getting t...

Been talking about that for 20 years. Those houses in Spring Hill will be 30+ years old by the time they start actually developing the other end of the Bluebonnet extension. ...
Thank you. Just got my KTN yesterday. Flying out of ATL next week
I suggest using the entrance at Terminal F/International for ATL. Most of the time it’s smooth sailing and far less crowded. ...

Normally Pre Check is consistently faster. It’s just a speedier process and the other people in line are usually frequent fliers. If you fly more than 5-6 times per year it’s worth it. There are exceptions and one is at MSY. Pre Check can sometimes take 45 minutes or more to get through dur...
Our soils here are pretty active. We can do wind rated constitution without the heavier concrete walls. The hurricane rated windows, roofs, straps, and shear walls do add a lot of costs but it’s been happening on much of the gulf coast for years now. ...
