re: Did Cam Johnson pitch in Hoover?

Posted by Tigerfan14 on 5/28/24 at 3:03 pm
For people who watched all of his innings, where did his fastball sit? Last outing I seen he was consistently running around 92 then ran a few into the mid 90’s. Is he throwing a cutter at 92 or is he just trying to take some off to get it over the plate?. ...
Rankings inflate egos, but good luck telling private companies to shut down their business so collectives don’t have to overpay recruits....
My guess Not making it and getting picked in round one: Griffin Caminiti Schmidt Could make it, would be a little surprising: Bateman (soaring up rankings) Curiel (long time top prospect trending down) Arrambide (long time top prospect trending down) Fountain (Jared Jones type...
he batted .267 with a .365 OBP in SEC play, I would be willing to bet that's better than half the starting catchers in the league.
Now do OPS...

He scores from there on a ball in the gap. It took a perfect throw to get him out by a couple inches. If Wanaka was paying attention he would’ve been safe...

re: The SEC Ump & SEC Nation Guys
The call was wrong but I could see how the home plate ump second guessed his call.
Right, but he called out on a judgement call, then changed his mind. I have never seen an umpire call strike 3, then call the batter back to the box and decide it was actually a ball… ...
So, hit the catcher with a metal bat intentionally to try and score a run? I bet you think that someone should have their head thrown at for staring down a homerun too long. ...
Dallas had a sub .500 season last year. You think Kidd improved enough to suddenly have a potential finals team in one year? It’s absolutely about the pieces, not the coach. ...
We dont have a Luka or a Kyrie, plain and simple.
100%. Jason Kidd has been fired, underachieved in the playoffs, just about everything you can do wrong as a coach. Does he suddenly know what he’s doing, or does he just have the right roster? There is plenty of stuff Willie ...
Any coach who intentionally calls a play to manipulate a rule is a count.
This. Crazy story. About 10 years ago I watched Grace Christian win a game against Menard on a walk off walk. Grace Christian pinch hit a midget with the bases loaded and told him to not swing the bat. It ...

Runner on second with nobody out and your 1-2-3 hitters up. You think pinch running for one of your worst runners is not short sighted ...

These past few at bats he looks completely lost. He’s not even close...
I think the point is, nobody is successful in that situation because the locker room was a no win situation. You get a HOF player leading them, they revolt. You have a coach that actually coaches them, they revolt. It’s different, but the same for the lakers. Lebron wants everything done how he want...
Might be a shitshow like Steve Nash in Brooklyn.
That’s the thing. Nash wasn’t a shite show. A Durant/Harden/Irving locker room was a shite show. Irving is the first NBA player to ever take PTO. The dude was literally questioning why he needed to be at every game. ...

re: Our pitching staff and change ups
The problem with just adding a change up at this level is if it doesn't look the same as the other pitches, collegiate batters will put it in the stands. I appreciate that just a change of speeds alone with this level of hitter won't be enough to make it effective. Someone else may have more ...

re: Pitching Coach

If you made a fire Yeski post a month ago, a lot would agree. The pitchers have made a complete 180 to end the year and have looked great. The only complaint really is that they leave some guys in to long, but nobody is perfect at seeing an impending collapse. Hurd is a bad example to use as a la...

The glove definitely was not over the wall. For him to reach over the wall, some part of his body would’ve been touching the wall while he caught it. Looks like it was probably hitting the very top of the wall if he didn’t catch it. ...
It’s hilarious that the kid is literally directly benefiting from “the Wild West”. They are still acting like the athletes are the victims ...
Considering what they were doing was illegal in the first place, I don’t think that’s technically how it’s supposed to work. Pay for play is still illegal, and he was offered pay for play money. This kid played for 3 high schools, flipped from Miami to UF, signed with ASU then transferred to Geo...
