If prognosis of death is estimated to be within 6 months anyway.

They all happen to be democratic leaning states.

My wife is very conservative but agrees with this policy.

She said "if we can kill our pets why can't we do this to our loved ones if agreed upon beforehand".

My response was that animals don't have souls and we shouldn't be taking lives.

So we don't agree on this but I do see the point.

I’m pro-life and am perfectly fine with assisted suicide.

I watched my Dad go through ALS. Not that he would’ve done it, but I would have absolutely agreed with him if he decided that were an option to choose.

If it alleviates pain and suffering or there is no hope for recovery, I am all for it. If it is like Canada uses it, no way.

People are animals. If your dog doesn't have a "soul" you don't have one, either.

Your wife needs to take a step back and think long and hard about this. Democrats would only pass laws like this because they want to use it against political opposition down the road.

Your belief.

Maybe the individual who is suffering and wishes to leave on their own terms does not share your exact beliefs.

That’s a hard decision I hope I never have to make. A friend’s father did it. I’m not going to look down on anyone who has to make this decision.

That said, I don’t like the idea of the government saying you can or can’t.

If people want to kill themselves, let them. You might want to collect what they owe you first. Think about the politics involved as well. Most will definitely live in or think like those in a blue state and if so, encourage their demise.

Other than that, stay out of their business. Especially those people who believe we should be treated as we treat animals. Soon, those people will be running out in front of cars and trucks on busy roads because, after all, so do animals.

I’ve heard guest on Glenn Beck talk about some horror stories with this policy in Canada with doctors suggesting that to 20-30 year olds with depression, etc., not a terminal disease. It will end up being used wrongly in some cases.

The more libs that sign up the better. Don’t move to a red state. Just off yourselves. Erase your carbon footprint.

This. I think people with untreatable terminal illnesses should be allowed to end the suffering.

My dad travelled to Oregon last year. Very aggressive lymphoma diagnosis with less than 3 months to live. He was scared of wasting away. That’s not the way he wanted to go out. It was the right choice for him.

I don't have a problem with it.

It's a matter of their decision, their family, their doctor, and God.

And for the fricktards that try to equate it to abortion, the baby doesn't have a vote.

If I'm terminally ill and in constant excruciating pain, the government has no right to tell me that I have to just suffer. If my quality of life ever dwindles to the point that I'd rather not live anymore, I can't say with absolute certainty that I wouldn't choose this route.

Other people have different opinions, but I don't agree with assisted suicide for moral reasons that I won't go into because we all have different values.

Watch this video until the end. Amazing job by this state trooper.

Sometimes people need help and have momentary lapses of judgement. I would hate to take away the ability for them to change their minds.

Sorry for your loss but I thought they had a 6 month residency requirement.

I 100% support it as a conservative leaning baw.

My grandmother would’ve been the perfect candidate. Had a stroke (and terminal cancer) and would wiggle herself off the bed and faceplant on the floor. Was so terrible to hear considering how much pain she was in and just wanted to gtfo of this earth.

Who are we to tell anyone when it’s ok to end their life? I’m not in that camp.
