Totally understand your struggle, living the life of a devout Christian is not an easy life, seems the forces of evil really ramp up the attacks when you give your life to Christ.... but it's a blessed life.

Most Christians have not been completely unburdened from the sin they sought for earthly pleasure at the moment of their salvation. Sanctification is an important aspect for any Christian who is truly trying to develop an intimate relationship with the Creator/Jesus Christ/Holy Spirit. I too struggled with pornography and alcohol, I still do on occasion but the frequency is becoming less and less.

When I was baptized last summer I told the pastor who was performing the baptism that I wanted less of me and more of Jesus in my life, in my heart, in my soul, and in my personality. I have also accepted that I will never be strong enough to resist every temptation of the flesh but I also know if I pray with conviction and contrition the Holy Spirit will strengthen me to resist sin and my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will forgive me of my sin.

Thanks for sharing your testimony, it certainly spoke to me, it's something that every Christian needs to do every once and a while. The minimum Christ requires of Believers is to share the gospel and a good testimony is a close second.

Thanks for sharing your testimony. I’ve experienced many of the same things you spoke about in the past.
I feel there is a new spiritual evil that’s coming on the planet, and without going into detail, I believe the ancient spirits who have been imprisoned, might be being released.
This isn’t some prophetic word, but just a sense. I’m sure many people feel the change in the world as well and simply can’t explain what’s happening. It’s time for everyone to prepare themselves spiritually for what’s ahead.
God bless.

I’ve had good luck with non denominational churches in the faith over religion battle.

One guy I really like you can watch online while you search.

He’s calm and even keeled. No fire and brimstone. Just walks us through the gospel.

Washington Heights Church
Ogden, UT
Roy is his name. He may be too chill for some.

For someone funny and more charismatic
Try the church of 11:22 in Jax. Also available online.

Joby is a hoot. Lots of energy. Some of the things he says though…but it’s all true.

Awesome story, and I can kind of relate, not to all of it, but being a Christian, but not really BEING a Christian. It's tough out there now.

I got baptized this past September at the age of 29. It’s easy to lose focus if your attention drifts to other coping mechanisms, but following Jesus is the most important decision you can make in life.

I suspect you read Cahn's "The Return of the Gods", Rev. That 'history lesson' brought it home to me, as I haven't been worried about real Spiritual Evil Entities for over 50 years. They are here, and out for payback.

Love to our Brother for his powerful testimony...and thanks to the TD Mods for keeping this extraordinary 'political' Forum open to the most important aspect of life. Our divine Spirit Soul and the challenging path back to our Loving Creator.

I have read this and stuff from Michael Heiser. I also watch many of Jonathan David Cahn‘s videos on YouTube

Amen. You can’t say no to Satan unless you say yes to Jesus first.

Great word. Humans are created in the Image of God with the possibility of knowing Him. This differentiates us from the rest of creation. We are also eternal beings though we have a beginning. Jesus Christ came to restore fallen humanity to fellowship with God. The validity of the gospel is based on Christ's resurrection. This was what was preached in the book of Acts and elsewhere in the New Testament. All humanity will be resurrected, and each person will give an account of his or her life before God. Some will be judged by their works, and others, because they have surrendered to Christ, will be judged by Christ's work on the cross because He paid the penalty for our sin. Jesus came to seek and save those who are lost.

Great read. I am a believer in Jesus Christ but I am also a sinner. I continue to sin because I am weak. I am so grateful to God for giving me a way to come to Him despite my sinfulness. I am so comforted that I am never alone and that God's word is the only thing in this world that I can truly trust. It has always been true and it will always be true.
