He "meant well" is kind enough to say. And treating humans as free range folks who needed free 'habitats' played well enough to the general public.

But all I'll say is I've passed his Presidential library 1000 times and will never set foot on those grounds.

Vox is king q tard. Dude believes Trump is commander in chief still controlling the military and Biden is jfk jr with a mask on.

He’s still trusting the plan.

Possibly. Particularly as they get older and the passions go down a little.

And the second worst president we have ever had.

So you think either Biden or Obama were better than Carter?

It's already been outlined that the worst US President has to be Buchanan because he was directly responsible for the Civil War.

I didn't even get the point there as being anything at all one of a "conspiracy." It was such a bizarre response.

C'mon, we all know "they" are planning the demise of a 99 year old man for the gripping news cycle of Mid May and early June, when lots of people are on vacations

I’m pissed I retired from the Government last year and he didn’t die. I was looking forward to the day off

He served our country multiple times and for that I'm grateful and appreciative. Having said that, I'm glad he didn't have to make a decision like having to drop the bombs on Japan, because I don't think he would have done it.

I grew up thinking Jimmy Carter was a terrible president. It’s just one of those things everyone says.

Now I’m not so sure. He might have been the last president to actually care about federal deficits and imposing some actual fiscal restraint on yourself.

Then Reagan comes along and blows out the budget (relatively for the time) and of course the economy rebounds. Federal fiscal spending does goose the machine for a time.

It's certainly very overstated. I think the fairest criticism is less around the economy and more around being weak-spined with the middle east.

That’s my take as well. With the benefit of a broader view, it is more difficult to see the economy of the Carter era as one created vs one he inherited.

And even in the Middle East, the Iranian revolution was a real coup of evil doers. I think im glad Carter largely kept us out of getting entangled with troops. And Reagan running arms to Iran starting in 1981 has always raised my eyebrows with people who want to credit him for getting hostages released.
