The thing I remember most about those horrible Carter years was an opinion piece written during the campaign against Reagan:
"Jimmy Carter's presidency was so bad that Reagan will win easily and there may never be another Democrat President in 100 years."
The two giant disasters were the Economy and Foreign Policy.
Kinda reminds you of our current President.

Jimmy Carter is a fairly uncontroversial president. All the remaining living ones are not that way.

JC seems like a genuine nice fella. Probably just in over his head for POTUS. Never could fix the economy. Iran. The pep-talk that went sideways. Asking Americans to conserve (“Pfft, this is the USA , bubb!”) . Again, hope to have beer with him in the afterlife .

Buchanan was made ambassador to Russia by Andrew Jackson. The reason why is that was the furthest place Jackson could find to send him.

Jimmy Carter is an embarrassment to Christianity. He battled his whole political life against Biblical principles... and yes, I know he was a Sunday School teacher. He was hateful in his rhetoric against the right, not to mention his worst vitriol for MAGA. He loves Joe and Jill and Barry and Big Mike. The friend of my enemy is my enemy.

Carter was a good man and awful President. That’s better than Biden who is just an awful President.

Seems like a good man but not so good President, Now if I’m going to put my conspiracy hat on, he will expire sometime around the debate in Atlanta
