You literally responded to "all the content is generated by and therefore biased by the community." by "How do you think the content for ABC and CBS is generated??"

I get it, ABC and CBS generate their own content, so of course that content is biased by their own biases. They're still relatively unbiased news sources compared to how bad some of the other ones are. Stop assuming I called them 100% perfect unbiased paragons.

I didn't say anything about you being right learning, but you're at a minimum being willfully obtuse.

Downvotes on tigerdroppings do literally nothing to influence a post and unless you're an admin you have no idea how much things are RAd but who cares because threads and comments aren't suppressed because of it.

I'm still fairly new to the board (was inactive for like five years), is RA the Request Admin button on posts? Are the number of requests on a topic/post publicly visible or something?

Okay thanks, that answered my question - it doesn't really matter if things get RAd if nothing is removed for no reason and suppressed because of it.

Correct. I think you'll fit in well here.

Out of curiosity, how do you feel in general about Bernie Sanders and Ron Paul?

Yeah, those massively simplified and misrepresented opinions do sound pretty bad! But it's not like only those ideas get dogpiled. Even the mildest liberal ideas do here.

You are a liar.

It is simple , they don't know what personal responsibility means.

No, I never said anything about you being right learning ; )

What's wrong with calling you right leaning, though? You are right leaning. I'm left leaning. In the context of your most recent protest, though, I didn't even mention it.

Think for yourself about the RA button. It has a purpose, it’s not a decorative feature.

RA is just “hey take a look at this”

Kind of like raising the flag at pancho’s, the flag is raised, the message sent but it is not a guarantee the waitress is going to do anything about it

I have seen members get suspended for abusing the RA button

I'm in the bottom-left of the political spectrum, that is, on the left side of left/right and on the libertarian side of authoritarian/libertarian. It should not come as a surprise that I like Bernie Sanders quite a bit but have a lot of dislike for the DNC and most Democrats. Ron Paul is obviously way, way more right than my position so I disagree with many of his conservative views, but if you specifically take his libertarian positions vs authoritarian positions I agreed with many of them back in the day. But that was a long time ago - his 2008 run when he was all over 4chan was the first year I was even legally able to vote. Me as an 18-year old /b poster is not someone you want to get meaningful political insight from.

I am definitely curious where you're going with this...

What are your top three favorite and least favorite positions of Bernie Sanders?

No where specific. Just curious about what you support.

I’ve posted on this site way too much for way too long. I enjoy it.

I hope you stay around. I enjoy left leaning posters who will engage with me. You all follow the same pattern but at least you do it well and make it fun.

I have been threatened to have my comments RA’d by posters because I was “ruining” their thread.

I think your ignorance of how things really work is because you have a right-wing tilt. I would love to provide more examples but that presents a conundrum. Let’s just say that just because you haven’t seen it or felt it, doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.

So? Threatening to ra literally means nothing.

I just RAd this post for ruining the thread.

Let's see if anything at all happens.

See? You disagreed with something someone said, got mad and became a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Favorite
1. Medicare. I believe in universal healthcare and I believe that America as a country is better than what we have now. Insurance is a leech and taking them out of the system entirely, and getting rid of inflated medical costs, will be for the benefit of everyone.
2. Taxes. Look at this graph of how tax rates have changed over time. Look very carefully at the x-axis. I'd like to go back to when America was Great in the 50s and 60s and the very, very wealthy were taxed at a reasonable rate.
3. His trade policies break from most establishment Democrats in being for the benefit of working Americans, not the corporations that employ them.

I also highly appreciate Bernie's consistency and that he has been speaking the same positions, right or wrong, his entire career. Bernie did a great job of not getting swamped in racial and sexual identity politics, instead focusing on class separation above all else, something that specifically distances him from Warren in my book.

Least favorite
1. I don't agree with him that we should repeal Section 1325 and allow free border entry.
2. He has become too strict on gun control, calling for universal background checks and buyback/bans on "assault weapons". He needs to go back to his non-authoritarian views as an independent before he got scared to walk the party line by bad press in 2016.
3. I don't think all college should be free and all college debt should be forgiven. I would rather more support for trade schools and community colleges as a "high school+" which would leave bigger universities for students who actually want/need an advanced degree, not everyone who feels pushed to go there. To account for this we can reduce the amount of federal funds that go to big university students and reroute that to trade schools/community colleges. These federal funds are what artificially inflate tuition prices in the first place. Also, move those funds directly to research rather than tuition coverage - and get actual returns for the money, not fattening administrator pockets.

I don't appreciate Bernie's stubbornness and inability to compromise for a solution between his views and the other side for the greater good.

The point is nothing will happen. Worst case scenario I'll get a message from an admin to stop being an arse. But nothing will happen to you or your post.

I can threaten to tear the universe in half and render your reality meaningless if you keep posting. Doesn't mean anything. Doesn't effect anything.
