He's already reached out to the SG supporter and pledge his cooperation with the transition if elected. It's not huge but better than SWB

I truly believe a decent republican candidate could actually win this election if they have some money and charisma and actually campaign. With the black vote split and the presidential election driving turnout in the open primary, a republican could make the runoff. In the runoff, turnout will be low which greatly favors republicans. However, all of the conservative “money” people are throwing their bucks around James. It’s insane.
The black vote will be split, but only in the primary. There won't be any candidate with 51% so there will most definitively be a runoff. It pains me to say, but Smiling Ted James will likely win.

The fund raiser for James was interesting to say the least. Most R’s in one place since Eddie Rispone ran for governor and Garret Graves tried to convince supporters to hang in there with the redrawing of the 6th district.
St. George won, Garret won and I think Ted James will win and he’ll, if he’s smart, listen to those who elect him. He may be all as some say, very liberal. I don’t know but I was impressed that he has enough sense and cares about BR to the point he’ll make solid decisions.
He has a solid base of the BR do gooders supporting him and I mean do gooders in a positive way. A lot of old Kip supporters when Kip was sober.
