His unit may have had elements in Balad, but his HQ was at Victory (Liberty).
I'd really like to see verified accounts that a TTSB SJA spent more than a day away from the main HQ.

I've seen nothing that contradicts reports that he was at Balad.

You were part of an Army Signal Battalion or Brigade at that time? I was an Army Signal Officer for over 20 years so I think I have a pretty good idea of the type of battlefield circulation Signal Battalion and Brigade Staff Officers actually perform.
Based on my experience, the chances of a SIGNAL BRIGADE JAG officer spending more than 1-2 days at a time outside of his main headquarters are extremely low.
The acronym TTSB means Theater Tactical Signal Brigade, which means they provide fixed-site infrastructure. In the Army, Signal Battalions and Brigades have not provided direct support to Brigade and Below Maneuver elements since modularization started in 2004.
