Biden could stand there, not say a word, and shite himself for an hour an a half and the media will say he "won" the debate.

It would be fun if Trump could get Biden wound up to into crazy get-off-my-lawn old man mode and make him start yelling nonsense.

The dems set the first debate early so that when he flops they still have time to replace him.

You’re exactly right, and a lot of Trump supporters are setting themselves up to look like fools, just like they did with the State of the Union. Despite the echo chamber of this board, Biden got a huge boost from the SOTU, and it was partially due to the low expectations many had of him. Thankfully, much of that has worn off, but Biden is a career politician, he’s debated many times, and he’s going to likely do well.

The bar is very low for him: be mostly coherent, appear to be humble, and be sympathetic. He’s going to lie a lot, just like he did in the SOTU, but the moderators will not call him out, like they will with Trump. If Trump can be present enough to call him on the lies in the moment, that would be great, but he didn’t do a very good job of that in the previous debates with Joe.

Bringing up Hunter isn’t the shakeup many of you think it is. Biden will be prepped to the max for those types of attacks. If Trump can attack him on foreign policy, inflation, and with the facts of how things are in America right now, that has a way better possibility of getting to Biden.

Accusing him of corruption and whatever else is a losing strategy. People just don’t care about that stuff as much as they do their wallets and their way of life.
