Dems are probably wanting to make sure they can break glass in case of emergency at the convention and appoint another candidate if Biden shits the bed.
After the convention - they are hosed.

The Democratic Convention is a month later, mid-August. They are going to do a second debate in September.

If Trump keeps his cool any bias from CNN should only help his cause. He's never had a fair moderator imo and he wins and loses based on his own behaviour

Biden destroyed Trump during the only debate that mattered in 2020-- Trump attributed his poor performance that night to COVID.

@CNN is probably practicing with a hollywood producer, calling in rent a mob people shown as independents to ask gotcha questions.
@CNN got caught before with dem plants presented as 'independents'
CNN will also fix the microphone so Trump is breathing heavy and cut it off but let Biden say come on Jack blah blah blub blah.
I can picture the 30 year old Biden aides planning this with Dana Bash and the other CNN hacks.
Trump should counter with PBD or Joe Rogan, Tucker, moderating.
