They'll probably get around $10k for it. Those Fords seem to last forever too. My favorite are the ones that say "excellent condition, engine has a little knock to it but no other issues....$7,000 firm" when they're trying to sell a 2006 Altima

If it were a 95 Corolla I'd be aggravated with you. Dude will find somebody to buy that truck at that price no problem. It's value is what somebody else is willing to pay for it. If I know I could get 12.5 for my truck but the blue book is under 5k why the hell would I list it for less than 12.5?

KBB, doesn’t set the value of anything. That truck is easily worth 10k. Damn near any running full size truck, of any year, will get 5k

$12,000 for a truck with 60k miles on it that can actually be worked on by just about anyone without taking out a 2nd mortgage is fairly practical. That truck has alot of life in it, and is a far better solution than an $85k half ton full of electronics and an engine bay crammed so tight with shite that dropping a wrench means it's gone into the abyss.

People are seeing trucks and vehicles like this for their practicality. That will drive up demand and therefore price. He will get at least $10k for it. That's a sharp truck, and if it were near me, all else being equal, I'd buy it.

Find a 1st gen Dodge Cummins and pay whatever they want. A million miles from now you'll be happy. Or an old Ford with the 7.3 International. Either one will run forever.

What they are listed for is not necessarily what they are selling for. There is a whole lot of “reduced price” listings on Marketplace.

You can take that KBB and wipe your arse with it.

Whatever it says is now the base bottom price, not an avg or even negotiating point for anything that carries any sort of public desire.

Often it is price + paying off loan.

Yep.

At one point it was a place to look and see what someone might expect to pay or even ask for a vehicle. In today's resale market it's a place to see what number the seller should add 20-25% to.

I've looking for a 2015ish Camry, Civic or Accord with 100k on it. They are selling for $16k, you can get a 2024 for $10k more. I bought new.

I always liked those trucks, despite the mushy-arse steering.

I'm in the market for a truck for towing and this is exactly where I started.

People are trying to sell '98 Tacomas with 300k mileage for $15k on FB. Taco is a solid truck but it's not made out of gold bro

i don't think KBB numbers really apply in the classic auto world. and as much as it pains me to say, a 1995 F 150 falls into that category. damn I'm getting old

I've been trying to find a 90s chevy/gmc with the 350 and prices are high but they are worth it imo.

I still have my Chilton manual for my original one. Good for my kids to start driving on and I can work on them.
