I witnessed something just like that in 2007 at our first house. A female pit bull broke a chain from across the street and charged our neighbor and her newborn baby when they came outside for a walk. When the cop got there he got out of the patrol car, took aim with his pistol and took out the dog with a headshot from about 40 feet away.
