Oh we are still a problem… we are uppity at demanding our tax dollars be spent on us.

Demanding that means either gentrification or white flight to them because it is THEIR money, not ours.
It's why the word, "racist" shouldn't have any hold on any white people with any sense of self-preservation. The word is, quite literally, circa 2024, meaningless.

We have 2 choices: take up for ourselves and our children and descendants and be called a racist by a democrat, or be systematically exterminated and still be called a racist by democrats.

I'm raising a household full of beautiful white children to do the former. We are not ashamed of our heritage - we do not hate others for their's but we will stand up for our values unequivocally - and so too should St. George and her white AND black residents not be ashamed and bullied out of their own. The people have spoken.

This news is all over the Twitter space and internet. They're already painting it as affluent, racist white people "seceding" from their poor ol helpless democrat slumlord, but thankfully we have the internet now: The bullshite that legacy democrat media spews is seen through almost immediately by everyone with half a brain. Which, obviously, doesn't include a disgusting, emotional democrat, but the people who really matter know the true story because they're now able to hear it from firsthand accounts, and in those folks' own words.
quote:

Oh we are still a problem
Good. BE a problem. Be a huge, pain in the arse problem. That's exactly what people like the ones who are advocates of St. George need to be, and ya'll/we are going to have to be an even bigger problem going into the future to see ourselves out of this mess, because the problem isn't going to get any better before it gets worse.

This country, let alone this world, is a powder keg in every sense of the word not seen in our lifetime since World War 2. It's time to stop giving a frick what the people who hate us think and say about us. Thankfully, that exact thing is aggregating every morning when the tens of millions of working, taxpaying, peace-loving men roll out of our beds to start another day, and be greeted yet again with the news that we are still the problem, and only taxes will fix it.

The right people are fricking around with the wrong ones, and they're going to find out what the business is. People are sick of the shite, and St. George is today's shining example of that.

Power to the Louisianian People.

So I read this article:
EBR Resolution to St George School District
And I read the list of schools - how can St George take Parkview Elementary if it’s in the city limits of Baton Rouge?

St. George ought to surround the perimeter with a fence and gate it off completely.

One large, gated neighborhood.

I couldn't, not in one millions years, come up with such a concise, conclusive, and encompassing statement on the state of things in this country.

This ought be added to The Preamble of The United States Constitution.

Not sure how that happens if the district is supposed to be within the boundaries of StG.

But a lot of the pissing and moaning in that article from EBRPSS is pretty rich considering that the frickery associated with the stillborn SEBR ISS can be laid at their feet.

If they had t blocked the ISD over a decade ago, no St George and no legislature changing the rules on how to make a new district.

Congratulations, you played yourself.

The St. George plan poses significant risks to our education system, threatens the continuity of critical programs, and challenges community representation. The creation of a new municipality introduces considerable uncertainty around funding allocation for our schools, jeopardizing the cornerstone of our community’s future: education.

So, this is going to take money away from all those highly acclaimed EBR parish schools?

It will probably contribute to kids leaving BRMHS and Lee, which are two of the only schools getting quality kids.

If a kid has a determination to learn, they are in a magnet, are going to private schools or their parents move to a different area.

EBRP High Schools vs Unincorporated, now St. George area high schools.

There are a couple of exceptions that are private schools in here

Tell me again how this portion of the parish with 100,000 people is getting its money's worth on those school taxes?

I’m concerned the state Supreme Court is going to rehear the case and reverse their decision. MOP needs only to flip one justice.

they’re either at the magnets, go to private school, or like my family, homeschool.

As a resident of SG, we don’t fricking care if our taxes go up as long as our quality of life also rises and we are allowed to direct OUR tax dollars as we see fit.
