I think it’s a charter

I am fine with a private school doing this.

Sure you are. Except for the ones your precious alphabet people don’t like. And if the dress code banned sagging pants you’d also cry racism. Etc etc.

As if that matters anymore. Your people hounded that private baker into baking a dick cake. The message is clear: leftists will always make their own rules.

At the end of the day it’s a kid in pants and a jacket. We can’t be hypocrites and want freedom but berate this kid for not wearing a dress. HOWEVER this is a private institution and they have rights. It’s still a non story.

I think it's a public charter school.

She didn't want to go to Prom. She wanted to get attention for being "different" so she masqueraded as a "man" and drew a response and then ran to the press.

She got everything she ever dreamed of and more. Don't feel bad for her.

the 14th amendment is the rule. You just don’t like it.

I also don’t think a christian baker should have to make a dick cake, or any baker.

I dont think the government should make them.

But I also feel if you are going to discriminate you better be a damn good baker.

I yhink it was a Detroit Lions player who said “ I don’t care if CFA supports slavery i’m still going”

I mean, rules are rules. But I remember girls going to prom and homecoming in suits and ties in the 90s. Is this really a battle that needs to be fought? Sounds stupid on both sides. Let the kids be a bit rebellious and edgy. The best thing you can do is just show them you don't care.

If they went to a school with a strict dress code’s prom in the 90s they were highly likely to suffer this exact same situation. Institutions have rules for participation. It’s really as simple as that and this isn’t a story.

The United States has rules for participation as well. Which this Charger School agrees to when it takes public money.

To be fair, I’d rather see females in a suit than some of the stripper costumes they call dresses these days.

I went to hs(public) in the70s, we could not wear clothing that had any lettering, numbers, or anything that may be construed as making any kind of a "statement," lots of racial tension, shortly after integration/desegregation, one day during the last few weeks of school, and all athletics were over, I wore an old football practice jersey that the school had let us have because they were getting all new everything, it had my number stenciled just below the neckline in about 3" block, nothing else, a coach, one of my coaches, saw me walking through the common area in front of the gym during lunch break and made me go home and change

Just trying to understand, you don't think a school should be able to have any sort of rules that respect the gender/sex of the students?

Wait. Gender huh? Isn’t that the one you can pick, apparently? Seems more like this is a rule that discriminates on sex. Which we know for a fact you can have in a fricking school lol

Does this rule respect gender?

I think gendered bathrooms would pass a constitutional check if you’re providing equal facilities. but I don’t think requiring a girl to wear a dress at prom would.
