As my pops always said, that man should have his arse out their building houses because of all the people that got put out of theirs thanks to his shitty presidency. Becoming a humanitarian simply because you want people to forget what an absolute buffoon you were doesn’t sit well with the people whose lives were affected.

My ole man blood would boil at the mention of Jimmy Carter. He’ d go Frank Costanza and just LOSE it.
My brother and I would randomly bring his name up, just to watch him come unglued. He said Jimmy put him out of the construction business and was the final nail for the city when he closed Craig Air Force base in 1977. That and another 15 minute diatribe of what a shitty President he was. MAN I miss those days. HA!

A great human being. A crappy prez but just a great great man. I am amazed he lasted this long after his wife passed…

I would love to see him make 100.
He is a good, honest man or high character. He was just incapable of handling the hand he was dealt as president.

Myself and one of my drinking buddies almost went to Plains,Ga on a drunken road trip. We wanted to go to Billy’s gas station to drink some “Billy” beer with him.

We made it as far as Biloxi. We had iced up a bunch of “ Billy” beer and were too drunk to go any further. So we did the smart thing to do. Bought more beer and drove back to Houma. We had to get off of the road before we killed someone.

We were all insane.

Regardless of political views, the world would be better if it had more folks with the moral compass of Jimmy Carter.

Spot on, well said.

No, Jimmy is a good, decent Christian man who lived his faith by helping the less fortunate.

Your dad was/is a moron

Good for him. My dad was in the construction business and nearly lost everything thanks to that fricking dumbass. Selling your business and becoming a humanitarian is a worthless excuse when you affected the livelihoods of millions of people by being a completely worthless buffoon of a president.

Sounds exactly like my dad. Still to this day will cuss the mere mention of Carter’s name.

My dad was in the new home construction business. By the time Carter left office mortgage interests rates were averaging over 16 percent. You can imagine what it did to the housing industry… somehow Carter gets all this humanitarian praise for building houses, and yet no one questions how many people he put out of their homes with his idiocy. As my dad says, that son of a bitch should have his arse out there building houses

Okay, serious question......what CAN people blame Jimmy Carter, the president, for?
